Mabel Quinn felt like she was the one in the wrong. "Why aren't you sleeping?" He kept his eyes open, making her unsure of what to do.
"If I close my eyes, will you leave secretly again, sis?" Kyle Kinston asked.
"I won't, I won't leave," she quickly replied.
"But last time when I woke up, you were about to go," he pointed out.
She felt a wave of awkwardness and said, "I won't this time. Please sleep. It's late, and you won't get better like this."
"When I'm better, can we go out and play together, and visit the theme park again?" He was evidently still longing for their last theme park trip.
She bit her lip gently and dishonestly replied, "Sure." Once he recovered, he naturally wouldn't remember any of today's events.
Seeing Kyle Kinston closing his eyes, Mabel Quinn sighed, planning to catch a nap. She thought, once he was deeply asleep, she would quietly slip away. This way, when he woke the next day, with his fever gone, it would be as if nothing had ever happened.
