Originally, the likelihood was worrying enough for her, but she never expected that her son would outright refuse the surgery, which truly surprised her.
"Whether I can see or not doesn't hold much meaning for me now," Daniel Harris said calmly. Perhaps for him, not seeing was the best outcome.
"How can you say such a thing? You are the heir of the Harris Family. In the future, the entire family will be yours to inherit. How can you forsake your responsibility?" his mother said.
Daniel managed a bitter smile, "Mom, can you let me make my own choice once? I just want things to stay as they are. I don't want any surgery. Perhaps this darkness is what's most suitable for me."
Otherwise, even if he could see everything clearly but fail to recognize the most important person, what would be the point!
