The lounge was quiet and peaceful.
Grace Yowell's gentle voice rose, "Just now on my way here, I happened to meet the crew manager, and he mentioned that you asked about Mabel taking a day off today?"
"Hmm..." Daniel Harris replied casually.
Grace's thoughts were racing, yet the strength and movement of her hands didn't change a bit, "How did you come to know Mabel? I don't think I've heard you mention her before."
His eyes suddenly opened, staring steadily at her, "Why, are you very curious?"
She calmed her mind with some difficulty, "Well, she's my friend too, of course I'd be curious."
"There's nothing significant about knowing her, no need to deliberately mention," Daniel said, "But I was surprised to find out that you two are friends."
"We just played together when we were kids," Grace quickly said.
Daniel slightly raised an eyebrow, "Really, was she also from Drumbeat Village?"
