As the year-end approached, Melody Zachary hurriedly returned to T City to reunite with her son for a day and then rushed back to the film set. Melody personally cooked a tableful of dishes. Oliver Shaw somehow got the news and showed up at his son's apartment. Seeing through the surveillance monitor that it was Oliver ringing the doorbell, Melody directly and unceremoniously rejected him, "It's New Year's Eve, go celebrate with your darling daughter's family. Felix and I don't welcome you!"
After saying that, she returned to the kitchen to continue working, and also warned her son not to open the door for Oliver.
