Donovan's voice reverberates against the walls of the deserted hallway of the palace, "To think, I would have the pleasure of meeting you at this place and like this. I assume a storm and His Royal Highness's losing his sense of himself is not enough to keep you away from your mission."
I pause mid-step. I have infiltrated the palace under the cover of the night. I was actually anticipating Donovan to appear. He appeared to be one of those people who knew what he was doing. The kind who would make a formidable enemy. The corner of my lips twitches, and I whirl around to face Donovan.
"So, I can count you under the people I am gonna slaughter for messing with my Liam?" A smirk slowly forms across my face, though my gaze is narrowed into slits.
