Clap! Clap! Clap!
Thunderous applause erupted in the grand ballroom, echoing off the high ceilings like a rolling wave.
No one expected it.
Liam Grant—usually so reserved, cold, and impossibly composed—had just publicly declared his love for his wife in front of hundreds of people. The man who always looked like he walked straight out of an elite CEO magazine ad had, just now, melted hearts with a few simple, genuine words.
Young women seated in the audience were swooning. Some immediately became die-hard fans of the "Liam & Ava" couple, shipping them harder than any TV romance.
They were beautiful. They were magnetic. They were the real deal.
Many girls in the room were smiling through the sting of disappointment, realizing their office crush was now officially, and irrevocably, taken.
But no one dared to be bitter.
Not when Ava looked like she'd stepped out of a dream—graceful, composed, and glowing with quiet confidence.
Not everyone, however, shared in the joy.
