I remained in the air, the mana made cloth moving with the wind, same did my hair, which decided to gain a few more centimetres than I'd like, but now it's not the time for a haircut, my eyes perceived the sky, the space, the universe, and watched as the Mad Man who was behind this whole ordeal trashed the room he was in, several of his people being forced to move away and escape from the rage of their leader.
Seeing the scene made a smile appear on my face and made me relax, even if for only a second. Seeing such a powerful being still being controlled by emotions meant he still had weaknesses, and I will be sure to use them if he ever tries to come here.
Looking down on the ground, I slowly descended while all of my familiars moved towards me, all flying but Ivy, who was forced to rest on Obsidian's head.
The scene from an outside point of view was very strange: a man wearing a blue cloth and nothing else, emanating a strange energy, with blue hair and rainbow eyes, slowly descending on the ground, while beings straight out of fantasy books came down with him.
" AAADRIIAAAN."
Our friendly spider came down faster than I'd like; nothing that a few portals couldn't resolve by creating two that pointed upwards. Once his speed was more manageable, I made him come out; he still fell ass first, but no broken bones at least.
" I think I am about to puke."
A quick wave of blood mana, and he was back in shape.
" I thought you were dead, dude, what the fuck were all those tentacles and trees?"
" No hentai jokes?"
" What's hentai?"
" Never mind, don't look it up." I must have passed more forcefully than I intended because he immediately nodded.
" Once again, magic 2, science 0."
" That can be explained by science."
" How?"
" I didn't say I knew how, I just said it can."
"... Until you can, I'm still counting the point to me."
" That's unfair, I am calling the ref."
" And who'd that be?"
" I think that's me, you kids." Descending from the air using armour came Iron Man.
" Him? How about searching for a better father figure? One less hedonistic?"
" Hey, I will let you know I am currently in a very stable and happy relationship."
" Your armour doesn't count."
" I take offence at that, it's not my armour." Tony feigned offence while putting a hand on his chest
" I didn't know you loved Jarvis that much. I leave you to your lover then."
" Hey."
I ignored him and instead took a step forward. Now that my mana had finally regenerated to usable levels and my familiars were all fed with my mana, I could easily deal with the damage done to New York.
A single step, something that could mean millions of things, the first step of a child, the first step on the moon, someone walking away from a bad relationship, or someone making a statement to the universe.
Adrian is the last one.
Like reversing time itself, the building rebuilt itself, the streets were once again usable, the injured were no more, and the dead were all made into a line to let people search for their loved ones in Central Park, making sure to create a monument shaped like a tree where all the names were listed, I was angered by inablity to save them, but unless I could fight death I can do nothing.
More and more magical circles formed behind me as my voice split into the hundreds, and more and more of New York returned to its glory.
" How long will it take?" Asked me a feminine voice, who I immediately recognised, Natasha.
"Not long," I said, creating yet another voice to talk to her, my mind split into dozens of thoughts to string together a conversation.
" You know you are being watched?"
" I know more than you think. How is Mr Truman doing? I heard his daughter just gained a Law degree. Congratulations to her from me."
I felt that several people across the USA cringed at my words because the man I had just mentioned was one of the "unknown" leaders of America, at least to the people.
" And let them know that the nukes they had sent towards New York are all stored and are ready to be launched if necessary."
Yep, I had just gained a nuke, already armed, and resting inside my inventory, ready to explode if it was taken out.
Ah, the cringe disappears, and now they are worried.
" Their worry is unnecessary; the last thing I want is for people who aren't at fault to be armed."
Oh, one of them just pissed himself. Am I intimidating them that much?

" What will I ever do now that someone I don't like hates me?" A fake tear came out of my eye; my charisma skills are just made to troll people at this point.
Natsha sighed, removing the earpiece and destroying it, which I didn't predict, but I could still feel the satellites pointed at us, so they still had a visual on us.
" Thank you, and I mean it, no spy business, you saved more than we could, and dealt with the problem much faster than we did."
"... This is my city too, and being able to feel all the pain from the world doesn't help with being an asshole."
" I can imagine." She said, and then remained silent while watching me repair everything.
Once the last piece of stone was finally back in place, and the last name had been written on the tree, I finally stopped, the cameras that had pointed at me catching all the things I had done, let's see how they will make me look like the bad guy now.
The Avengers had meanwhile all gathered, some of the other heroes who had also helped with the attack also reaching the group.
"Does anybody want Shawarma?" Tony asked
No one answered.
" I'll pay," Tony confirmed.
Everyone accepted.
