On hearing the uproar, the owner of Ava's cream, Mr crainiell, who was currently holding a conversation with Shawn briefly ended it and headed out to welcome the esteemed guest, he was on edge, though he invited the esteemed but the probability of him sending a representative is 20 percent, but he came here himself, he felt he hit the jackpot...
Approaching the guest he greeted "Good day Master Huston"...
Adrian replied with a hmph and a nod and entered the hall gracefully, all eyes where on him, some tried getting close to him, to strike up a conversation to curry favor, but he just kept replying with a nod and briefed greetings...
He made his way to his seat, although Mr crainiell knew he invited Master Huston company to be precised, but he knew many powerful people present want to have a word with him, but he wouldn't let have did chance, he quickly guided him towards the most reserved chair....
Shawn who was today's event star at the beginning paled in comparison to the esteemed business tycoon, he held Stella's, as if his making everyone knows she is his woman, noticing Adrian's gaze he pulled her close and held her waist to spite Adrian...
Stella who had no idea of the brief glance exchanges between the both men, whispered to Shawn about them being too intimate, but to the outside it felt like they were being lovey dovey, it spiked Adrian within he clenched his fist silently and his face as straight as ever, didn't change a bit despite seeing the interaction between the two, the raging in his heart was undeniable, he knew he didn't love her but he doesn't like her being intimate with someone he wants to eliminate, it burned him within but on the surface it was calm as still waters...
Stella who was feeling overwhelmed by the party excused herself, by using the restroom as an excuse, but all she wanted was fresh, she felt suffocated, by Adrian's gaze, even it looked calm but it was sharp like it was cutting through her, piercing the depth of her soul...
In search of the restroom she met someone, sitting beautiful but looked lost, Stella had no idea how her feet made way to to the beautiful lady who was lost in her own thoughts and said "Hi"....
Evelena who was sitting down trying to place her looked up see a beauty saying hi with a smile, she adjusted herself immediately and replied "hello" with a smile....
Stella who had no idea why she approached the lady decided to follow her guts " Can I seat with you?" Stella asked politely...
Evelena replied with a light "sure" and adjusted and created space for Stella to sit..
"Sorry for intruding your space, you like you needed listening ears, and I wanted to help you with mine, afterall who wouldn't want to listen to a beauty" Stella said and they both laughed, it felt there was an invisible bond they seem to get along well, if someone sees them, they would think they knew each other from past or something...
While engrossed in their conversation Evelina poured her hearts out to Stella...
"Well, I love your passion on wanting to make a name for yourself but in this world were men are the majority it's hard I'm not saying this to discourage or anything but to prepare you on what you're about to face, I also had a dream like that, but it came crumbling so fast, my hard work, sleepless nights someone else takes the credit now and I can't fight back, because no one is willing to listen, maybe if had soo mush zeal as you do, I wouldn't have given up, I want you to keep fighting, don't ever admit defeat, cause once you do, there's no going back".. she said and breathed a sigh of relief...
"Well it's never to late to come back and take what's yoursss..." Stella's voice trailed of as she heard footsteps, looking back only for her gaze to meet Adrian's...
