Gathered in his throne room were the leaders of all the noble houses within the planet. Each one was dressed as one would expect people that rued an entire planet to wear. They wore smiles as they interacted with each other as though they were actually happy to see each other.
They were all things he had gotten used to by now, besides they were in the throne room upon his request and he was back again on the throne that he had once wanted to demolish.
On Mordaxis there were a total of five noble houses who ruled over everything so far, he had only interacted with two of them minus his own house. HOuse Luthor, the imperial family controlled food in general which explained their unchallenged rule.
House Draven were major shareholders in the military hence why the current Grand Marshal was from the family and Bastion expected that his reforms in the military would go unopposed, mostly.
Then there was House Voss which was where the Regent that had taken over while he was stuck on the bed was from, House Voss and its actor, Valerius Voss had a major stake in the bureaucracy of the planet.
There was also House Karthis which controlled over 90% of the enforcer gangs on the planet and House Salmern, a house that was closely aligned with the mechanicus and was unofficially recognized as a Knight family.
"All rise for his Divine Excellency the God-Emperor's hand upon Mordaxis, the scion of sacred fire, the unbroken Governor, the Living sword of the imperium … Luthor Kael Bastion, Lord of the Noble House of Luthor, Saint of awakening" the herald's voice filled the hall
As his voice fell, the door opened as he Sanctis marched out in perfect order, Dressed in new white and black armor with various red accents, their figures gliding across the ground almost as though they were floating as they all took their position all around the throne room.
Following behind them was Bastion dressed fully in his official attire, his large frame coupled with his designs of the clothing. Following behind him was Selen dressed in her official wear.
As Bastion passed, the nobles immediately got on their knees knowing in deep respect, he had long since gotten used to this so he just let it be and continued walking on. When he got to the throne, Bastion turned to the crowd.
"I thank you all for honoring my invitation even in this busy times, they say that in war one needs to celebrate every little victory and in the past week, Mordaxis achieved a victory beyond any other against the forces of darkness and chaos" He began as the crowd immediately erupted in applause
Outside the Governor's spire, a massive hololith projected Bastion's image across the entire hive and every hive on the continent, with the help of the skitarii forces, the clean up and rebuilding was efficient and fast.
In just a week, they had regained the lost areas and even discovered some new areas that had since collapsed. At the moment, the new ministry of infrastructure along with their integrated Mechanicus forces were working to rebuild these areas into a proper area for a new set of proper buildings.
The widened streets were filled with newly installed lights that illuminated the entire hive from the mid hive all the way to the lower hive. Decorations filled the streets and people could be seen gathered on the streets, Mechanics and regular worker alike, all were on the streets and staring at the giant holographic figure in the sky
"So henceforth I declare this day, victory day, a day in which we shall celebrate our victory over the forces of the ruinous powers, for a day, all shall take a leave form their labour, rations and water shall not be withheld from anyone, however you will need to be registered by those giving them, you shall see them in every area, bring your children, adults male or female, all are to register for each family member registered, you get a day's worth of food" Bastion said
Immediately the crowd outside the palace erupted into chaos as applause and chants filled the streets but within his court, Bastion couldn't help but bear the full force of the grumbles of the aristocrats but he couldn't careless
