A pulse of light surged through the circle as the crystals began feeding energy into the runes. Slowly, the circle lit up section by section, each glyph coming alive with blue light.
Rilith stood back, admiring their handiwork. "Not bad for a human mage. Better than half the succubus I've had to work with."
Velara giggled. "And we haven't even made something explode yet."
"Please don't jinx it," Mandira muttered.
Even if she talked with Rilith and Velara, Mandira was still feeling weird about having to talk with two creatures of dark that she would normally get rid of. She wasn't as narrow minded as to belive creatures become evil by their birth, but creatures born out of energy in otherworld simply is an exception because they wanted to get rid of humanity.
