~THE BILLIONAIRE WHO LOVED ME~ 💘💍👠💄💎
NO GHOST READING PLEASE ❗ ❗ ❗
~CHAPTER 15~
~ZACHARY'S POV ~
I sent several texts to Kimberly, hoping she'd reply but she seemed not to be online yet.
I reread our previous chats to pass time but it wasn't enough.
I needed to hear from her. Or atleast see her again.
I know she must have been very shocked to find out I was her Boss, now I have to do everything to make sure she's comfortable with me.
Today was the start of the weekend, I was unhappy that I wouldn't see her face for the next two days.
And I wanted to see her everyday.
I knew I wouldn't sleep well after not hearing anything from her tonight.
Why isn't she online?

~THE NEXT DAY ~
After I did my morning workout and had a quick breakfast, I got a reminder on my phone that I was meant to hang out with my cousins today.
Last time, I cancelled my plans with them and they weren't happy about it, I couldn't cancel on them again today.
I checked my phone, hoping Kimberly might have replied to atleast one of my messages but was disappointed again.
I breathed out heavily... going to my office in the west wing to work on some things before it was time for the hangout.
~~~
Once it was 1 pm, I received a call from my friend Jeremiah, he was also hanging with us this afternoon.
(Dude... tell me you're on your way to the bar already.) he said.
(No. But I'll be on my way now.) I said to him.
(Come on man, we said 1 pm.) He whined.
(Yeah I lost track of time. Like I said I'll be there shortly.) I said and hung up the phone.
I lazily left the office and went to my room to put on a casual plain white shirt with a black denim trousers. I sprayed my favorite cologne and adjusted the collar of my shirt.
I looked at the mirror for a minute. I knew i was perfectly handsome already so I didn't need to do much.
I put on my sunglasses and left for the car.
On my way to the bar, my mind seemed to be occupied thinking about Kimberly, and then an idea suddenly clinked in my mind.
I know she'll be at home today or in a certain cafe she loves hanging out at.
Now I also know it'll be psycho of me to go to her house. That is unacceptable.
For now.
Hm. So I guess I could coincidentally stop by at that same cafe she loves for a few minutes.
No harm in trying out new cafes in different neighborhoods.
I'll even bring my cousins there. I'm sure they'd also like to try out a new Cafe.
I smirked at the genius idea I just got.
~AT THE BAR~
"So Zach, how's work man?" John, my cousin asked me.
James and John were my cousins who grew up in Scotland.
They were of royal heritage, which is why I always respected them so much.
Especially John.
James on the other hand, is but a crackhead who's never serious with his life.
John was more of a milder and tamer version of James even though they shared the same face and voice.
They had an older brother who took care most of their Royal duties for them.
Giving them the opportunity to explore more of the world before they had to marry and take up more serious responsibilities.
"Work is work. You know how it is." I say to him and sipped my glass of wine.
"Yes I do brother. Cheers to more grace in sales and growth." He said and raised his glass to mine.
"What are we celebrating?" James included himself.
"Brother, how many bottles of that have you had. Isn't it too early to get drunk?" John asked James.
"It's never too early for drinking my dear brother. And what the hell are you both drinking? And why are you here??? Sitting like those casted out. Come!!, come to the dance floor, there's plenty of ladies waiting to be danced with." James said to us.
"No thanks. I have somewhere I have to be later. Can't appear there reeking of alcohol and cheap perfumes of women." I said to him and continued drinking my wine.
He looked at me disappointedly and turned to John.
"No. Zach and I are going to the same place later. Sorry bro." He declined as well.
"You know, this, I expected from you Johnny. You've always been a bore. But you...." James said and gripped my shoulder.
"I did not expect this from you. We used to be the fun ones Man, always ready for any kind of fun and that was why women always worshipped us. Why are you slacking?" He asked me.
I shaked my head and removed his hand from my shoulder.
"Fine. fine. you both can bore yourselves. As for me, I'm going back to the girls and the buzz." He said to us and danced back to the dance floor.
"So where exactly are we going later?" John asked me.
"Somewhere different from what we're used to." I say to him.
"And why are we going to this certain place?" He asked.
"Aren't you an inquisitive feller." I stated and ordered for some pastry to down the wine.
He looked at me iryl full of suspicion.
~~~~~
After hours passed, Jeremiah and James seemed to have had their fun, I told them of my plan to cool off the edge at a certain Cafe and they didn't argue and just agreed to it.
John rode with Jeremiah while I rode with James.
We couldn't let the semi drunk ones drive.
I drove for almost an hour, before I located the Cafe.
I parked outside the parking lot and John's car pulled up almost immediately.
He was following my car closely behind.
"What the hell are we doing here?" James whined.
"What do you mean, we all agreed to come here." I say to him and got down from the car and closed the door.
"Yeah. But you didn't tell me it was a local hatch we were coming to." He said and refused to get down from the car.
"Get down from the car James." I said to him from the car window.
"Noooooo. Take me back to the bar, or a mid-day club house instead." He groaned.
John came down from his car with Jeremiah.
They came to my car.
"James, stop being a kid and get down from the damn car." John scolded him.
"No thank you." He said and closed his eyes.
"I can't deal with this." John said and made his way inside the Cafe.
"He's gone. Well, I should join him inside. I need some iced Americano. Hopefully this cafe serves." Jeremiah said and followed John inside.
"James. Aren't you coming down?" I asked him.
"No." He said.
"Fine. Enjoy the car." I said to him and made my way inside the Cafe.
"Hey dude! Wait up!" I heard him calling out when I was close to the Cafe door.
He jogged to join me at the entrance.
I shaked my head at his childishness.
~~~
Once we were inside the Cafe, I scanned the whole place and everyone sitting there.
I saw where John and Jeremiah were sitting and we went to join them.
"This place is not bad, but definitely not your style Zach." Jeremiah said to me.
"It looks fine to me." I said to them while looking around the whole place.
My angel loves it here. So do I.
"Let's just order something before I change my mind." James said and called for one of the waitresses.
A young lady with an apron came to our table with a notepad and pen.
I looked at her face briefly and she looked familiar to me right away.
"Hi gentlemen, welcome to Karen's Cafe, what can I get you?" She asked with a professional tone.
"Hello pretty lady. How about you get me your phone number." James said, instantly flirting with the waitress and I kicked his foot under the table.
"I mean.. umm... Do you have a menu please?" He asked her instead.
"Yes we do. Here." She dropped the menu on the table.
"Let me know when you've made your decision." She said and made her way to the counter.
My eyes followed her steps and saw her talking with someone at the counter whose back was faced to us.
A girl with jet black hair cascading down her back.
My heart race increased rapidly, immediately I suspected who that might be.
Kimberly.
I waited and hoped for the girl to turn around but she never did. It seemed like she was frozen in her seat.
Then suddenly the girl stood up, her face still not visible, she stuck one of the menu books on her face as If she was reading from it but I was certain she wasn't reading anything.
It seemed like she was trying to avoid being seen by someone.
And that confirmed my suspicion.
It was her.
I smiled to myself.
I found Kimberly.
"Hey man, are you okay? You keep looking over to the counter and now you're.... smiling" John made this known and James quickly turned to look over the counter probably to see what or who I was looking at.
"I see what's going on here. She has a nice figure though I haven't seen the face yet, I bet she's cute." James said accessing Kimberly, whose back was turned to us.
John and Jeremiah both turned to look at her.
"What's going on? Do you know that girl?" John asked me.
"I'm not sure." I say to him.
"What do you mean you're not sure?" Jeremiah asked.
"Just let it go." I said to them and sighed.
I shouldn't have brought them here. They won't let me do my thing In peace.
"I'll go give the waitress girl our orders." I said to them.
"Isn't she supposed to come to us?." Jeremiah asked amusingly.
"Just trying to make her work easier for her." I said and got up from my seat, making my way to the counter.
I walked slowly till I got there.
"Here's our order miss." I said to the waitress girl.
She smiled shyly and collected the order from me with shaky hands.
She suddenly looked nervous. I wondered why the sudden change of attitude.
I turned to look at the girl standing near the counter and she had the menu so close to her face making it impossible to even see her side view.
"Reading too up close like that will only ruin your sight. Aren't you too young to develop eye problems?" I started a conversation with her.
I waited to hear something from her but she didn't say anything.
I smiled to myself.
Surely She must have recognized my voice at this point.
I kept looking at her, hoping she'd move the menu away from her face.
I needed to see her.
I knew it was Kimberly even though I haven't seen her face yet.
I'd recognize her silky hair and pale skin anywhere.
Shortly our orders were ready and the waitress carried out trays of food.
I helped her with one tray while she carried one.
I hesitantly left the counter, looking at the girl one more time before leaving for my table.
"You wanna explain what that was about?" John asked me.
"You wanna explain what our whole trip to this place is all about?" James also asked me as he ate his cheeseburgers.
I ignored their questions and ate my chicken sandwiches.
My eyes were fixed on her all the while I was eating and waiting.
I knew she'd have to turn around sooner or later.
After we were all done with our food, the waitress came to our table to clear it.
I remembered where I'd seen her face before.
Some of her pictures were in Kimberly's social media.
Kimberly took a lot of pictures with her.
If I'm not mistaken, she's a close friend of Kimberly's.
That makes sense now.
That must be the reason she was suddenly nervous around me.
And still is.
Her hands kept shaking as she cleared our table.
"So, beautiful, if you won't give me your number, how about your lovely name?" James kept flirting with her.
"James. Respect yourself would you? Please ignore him love." John said to her and she nodded slightly.
"Don't listen to my brother beautiful, here, my complimentary card. Please don't be shy to give me a call." James gave her his card and winked at her.
She took the card with shaky hands and put it in her apron.
"Miss, I'd like to make a request." I suddenly said to her.
She looked at me blankly.
"I'd like to pay for everything and anything your friend over there would like to eat in here today." I said to her and pointed to the beautiful girl now sitting on a seat over the counter.
My Kimberly.
The waitress turned to look at her and back to me.
"Oh. Okay." She said and cleared her throat.
"And for everyone else in here at the moment. All their bills on me. Including yourself dear." I said to her and her face curled up into a wide smile.
"Wow that is very generous of you sir. Thank you so much." She thanked me.
"Darling, I'm also paying in advance for tomorrow. All your meals here tomorrow is covered by me." James said to her and winked at her.
She pursed her lips and smiled at him.
"Thank you sir. I'm grateful." She said to him and left our table.
"Dude, what are you doing?" I asked him and he shrugged.
"She's pretty. I like pretty girls." He said.
I focused my eyes on Kimberly again, waiting.
I noticed the waitress telling her something and she slowly turned her face to peep at me.
Her eyes locked with mine for a few seconds before she quickly turned back.
I smiled to myself.
Atleast I got to see her. Even though from afar.
"We should go now guys. It's getting late." Jeremiah said.
Some minutes later, we all stood up from our seats and made our way out of the Cafe.
I tried to see her face one more time but she didn't even look my way again.
We all got into our cars and drove back into town.
I didn't like the neighborhood one bit.
I wasn't happy my angel had to live in a place like this. It didn't suit her.
A princess like her deserved to live in a castle.
I should probably add it to my next agenda.
Getting her a castle.
I smiled at the thought.
Slow down Zach.
Atleast let her know how you feel first and try to get closer to her then buy her a castle that suits her.
~
When we got back to town,
We decided to stay over the night in a luxurious hotel.
We each got a separate condo.
Once I was settled in my condo, I had a quick shower, and got ready for dinner.
"So...who is she? The reason you dragged us out to a far away Cafe to eat a piece of hamburgers." Jeremiah asked me at the dinner table.
James and John focused all their attention on me, waiting for me to say something.
I hate being in the spotlight this way.
I wasn't ready to tell my family about her yet.
