Stealing his daughter?
Primrose frowned. As far as she could remember, Edmund had never kidnapped anyone's daughter. Yes, sometimes her husband did questionable things, but she was sure that he would never go as far as kidnapping a girl.
Besides, how could she take his words seriously when he was wearing Averon's face? Just looking at that familiar face made everything feel wrong.
"It seems you've come to the wrong person," Primrose said calmly. On the outside, she looked calm, but inside, her thoughts were in complete chaos. "My husband has never done something like that. But if you're really sure he took your daughter, then tell me your name. And stop hiding behind someone else's face."
The man smiled and leaned back in his chair, looking relaxed. He observed her for a moment before speaking.
