When Edmund finally lay back on the pile of snow and made sure it was thick enough to keep his wife from hitting the hard ground, he let out a long, relieved breath.
"This feels calming, doesn't it?" Primrose said as she flopped down beside him, spreading her arms and legs like a starfish.
"Wife, don't lie there too long. You'll catch a cold," Edmund warned. He tried to pull her up, but Primrose refused to move even an inch.
"Just a little longer, please…" she said with pleading eyes. "Maybe this is our baby's wish! They want to play with their first snow while still inside my womb!"
Edmund sighed in defeat and lay down again beside her. "Alright, five minutes," he said, taking her hand as they both looked up at the bright blue sky.
"Husband," Primrose turned her head toward him with a hopeful smile, "can we go to Illvaris next week? I really want to go. We don't have to delay our trip anymore, right?"
