Primrose knew that for nobles, sharing the same bedroom was almost unheard of. Most preferred their own space, their own privacy, and hated the thought of having their sleep disturbed.
But for her, it was different. Primrose didn't feel the need for that much privacy. What she wanted most was to stay close to her husband because she loved his presence too much, and on days when she couldn't see his face, she always felt a little sad and empty inside.
Besides, it was pointless for them to even have separate bedrooms when Edmund had already filled her chamber with so many spying devices.
"If you think my room's too small, we can move to yours," she offered gently, sitting up and tilting her head when he still didn't respond. "Or … do you not want to share a room with me?"
She tried to sound casual, but there was a flicker of vulnerability in her voice.
Then, after waiting for a few minutes, she finally got her answer.
