"Damn fox! You've gone too far! Why would you reveal everything to a Jinchūriki?!"
Shukaku was the first to erupt, furious. To him, the Sage of Six Paths' prophecy was a secret, one only the nine Tailed Beasts shared. While some tailed beasts had bonded well with their Jinchūriki, none had spoken of that prophecy—until now.
Kurama bared his fangs at Shukaku and snapped,
"I told you already—I don't have that kind of free time, you damned raccoon. And are you asking for a beating?! Maybe you've forgotten what training feels like!"
Without another word, Kurama's chakra limb outside clenched around Shukaku's body and slammed him hard into the ground.
"ROOOAAARRR!!! YOU DAMN FOX! I'LL KILL YOU!" Shukaku screamed, writhing and snarling.
Nearby, Matatabi and Saiken quickly rushed forward, trying to deescalate the fight.
"Enough! We're all tailed beasts. It's rare that we're gathered like this—don't ruin it!"
"Calm down! Everyone, please!"
But Shukaku wasn't done.
"Don't hold me back! That damn fox just trained me like I'm some rookie genin! I'll challenge him to a duel right now!"
Kurama snorted.
"Let him come. I'm not in the mood for explanations—let's settle things with our fists."
Naruto nodded. That was fine by him. Even though time flowed differently here than in the real world, and they'd spoken quite a bit in this mental space, only a few seconds had passed outside.
"Alright, everyone, put your hands together. I want to show you something."
Naruto raised his fist. One by one, the tailed beasts looked at one another. Son Gokū, the Four-Tails, was the first to step forward, placing his fist on Naruto's. Then came Chōmei, Saiken, Kokuō, and the rest. Even the grumbling Shukaku eventually joined, albeit with a snort.
Only Gyūki hadn't moved.
"Not joining us, Gyūki?" Son asked.
Gyūki smiled.
"Bee and I already know the truth. We've seen it all."
The others were stunned. No wonder Gyūki and Kurama were standing on the same side.
As soon as all their fists touched, Naruto closed his eyes. A flash of light burst through the void.
He used his chakra to connect their minds and begin playback—a replay of Naruto's previous life. Every tailed beast, every Jinchūriki watched as Naruto's memories unfolded in front of them.
They saw the Sage of Six Paths, and at that moment, every tailed beast trembled. Some even shouted out in awe.
"Old man!"
Even through time and space, Hagoromo Ōtsutsuki's spirit seemed to sense them. He smiled, ever so slightly.
Son Gokū's voice was shaky.
"That's his chakra… that's really him… the old man!"
The scene shifted.
They saw Naruto and Sasuke standing together as comrades. Then they witnessed the Gedo Statue, the tailed beasts being sealed one by one, and Obito transforming into the Ten-Tails Jinchūriki. Naruto and Sasuke fought back—only for Madara to absorb them again and evolve into a Ten-Tails Jinchūriki using the Six Paths powers.
But the worst was yet to come.
The Black Zetsu betrayal, the resurrection of Kaguya Ōtsutsuki, the battle against her... and her eventual sealing by Naruto and Sasuke.
Then the most heart-wrenching moment.
Sasuke turned on Naruto once more—attempting to enslave the tailed beasts for his vision of revolution. The two clashed again in the Valley of the End, ultimately destroying one another's arm in a final, brutal battle that ended in reconciliation.
A new era began.
Then, the peace was shattered by the invasion of the Ōtsutsuki Clan from beyond the stars. Another great war. Endless death. Most of the Shinobi World perished.
Kurama… died.
Naruto, too.
The tailed beasts were harvested and turned into chakra fruit, consumed by the invaders.
A silence fell across the mental realm.
Even for creatures as ancient as the Tailed Beasts, the horror of that future echoed deep in their souls.
At last, the screen faded. The last image was of the Sage of Six Paths appearing again—with Boruto, Naruto's son—resurrecting Naruto.
Naruto slowly opened his eyes and wiped a tear from the corner.
The pain still lingered. Watching it again felt like tearing open old wounds.
Son Gokū was the first to break the silence.
"I can't believe it… Naruto, you really were… reborn."
Blue B (Matatabi's former Jinchūriki) was wide-eyed.
"So… time travel actually exists in this world…"
Shukaku grunted, trying to mask the tremble in his voice.
"Of course it does. That old man Hagoromo—he's immortal. We owe everything to him."
Yugito Nii looked at Naruto with deep sympathy.
"Naruto… you've suffered so much."
Yagura, the former Three-Tails Jinchūriki, nodded solemnly.
"As the Seventh Hokage and the strongest shinobi in the world… you really did give everything. I never imagined enemies like that existed."
Han, Jinchūriki of Kokuō, asked seriously:
"If Sasuke was with you in all of that, then… what's he doing now?"
Fū, the cheerful Seven-Tails Jinchūriki, looked thoughtful.
"Probably the butterfly effect, right? Naruto's rebirth has changed the course of everything."
Chōmei (Nanabi) nodded.
"Yeah. Makes sense."
Naruto took a breath.
"Exactly. My goal in returning is to unite the Shinobi World and prepare for the real war—the Ōtsutsuki invasion. That's why everything is playing out differently. But don't worry… for now, it's all still within control."
He looked at each of them, meeting their gaze.
"I called you all here to let you know the truth. Because if needed, I might need you again—either through resurrection, or Impure World Reincarnation—to fight for this world once more."
The Jinchūriki exchanged glances, then nodded. None of them had objections. If it was for the world, for peace—they would rise again, no matter the cost.
Son Gokū smirked.
"You know… back then, I was the first one to believe you were the child of prophecy. Told everyone to believe in you. Hah! Guess I had good instincts!"
Naruto laughed softly.
"You did. I still remember that. Last time, I pulled out your chakra receiver first—but not this time. A lot has changed."
Yagura folded his arms.
"Life really is unpredictable. Sasuke and Obito are fighting their own battles out there. Wonder how they'll react once they know the truth."
Naruto smiled faintly.
"They'll find out… when the time is right. For now, let's focus."
He raised his fist again.
"Just like in the last timeline… lend me your chakra. Otherwise, if a crisis hits, I won't be able to respond properly."
The tailed beasts agreed without hesitation.
Each one stepped forward again and placed their hands atop Naruto's. With a surge of power, Naruto raised his fist and absorbed their chakra—their trust.
At that moment, Kurama's memories stirred.
He remembered their childhood—when the nine of them were newborns, standing before Hagoromo Ōtsutsuki.
He remembered when the Sage of Six Paths, dying, stood in the middle of them and called out each of their names one final time.
"Even if you are far apart, you will always be together. One day, you will be whole again—not as you were in me, but in a new way. And you will receive true guidance... only then will you understand real power."
The Sage's silhouette blurred in Kurama's mind… then slowly faded.
When Kurama opened his eyes again, he wasn't looking at the past.
He was looking at Naruto—his Jinchūriki, his partner, his friend.
And he smiled.
"Old man... you really were something else."
