Chapter 90 - chapter 19

Hope woke up sometime during the silent morning hours in order to return back to the Memorial Hospital, Daphne groaned at the sensation of Hope leaving their bed before muttering quietly over their soulbond as not to wake the ravenette beauty who was now cuddled into Daphne's side "Don't make his death obvious darling. Otherwise Chris will be angry with us."

"Of course, my love." Hope replied in a whisper before placing a kiss to the blonde's temple and apparating away after giving a soft look towards Allison's peaceful sleeping form.

Hope appeared directly outside room 211 and glanced at the door frame seeing the runes that she and Daphne etched into the wooden frame. Hope waved her hand to remove the rune system that subtly disrupted all electronic devices in the area before walking into the room, casting a privacy spell on the room.

The Tribrid looked at the sleeping man who was wheezing through his slow breathing. Hope silently questioned how to kill him. Wake him up and put the fear of God in him? Murder him in his sleep?

In all honesty, Hope would prefer a very violent death considering what he did to Allison but the youngest Mikaelson could admit that Daphne was also right. Having Chris on their ass for murdering his father would make life difficult, especially for Allison. Forcing her to choose between her relationship with her father and her soulmates is a choice that neither Hope nor Daphne would ever make the Huntress choose.

Hope sighed to herself in defeat.

The brunette Witch moved over to the bedside table, locating Gerard's mobile and smirked down at the device.

The Tribrid coated her hands with a layer of magic, obscuring her fingerprints before picking up the phone. Hope used her magic to create a small sewing pin to insert into the phone's SIM card slot, pulling it out and removing the SIM from the phone before quietly replacing it on his bedside table again.

Hope didn't want to take any chances that the old man attempted to call out or message out the information he learned about her and Allison. Unsure if the messages would attempt to re-send if the phone or memory card came back into effect.

So she performed a silent incendia on the SIM card, burning it to ashes and used her magic to flood the small electrical circuits with water.

Hope's eyes narrowed on Gerard's unconscious form before outstretching her hand towards him, focusing on his heart, very slowly closing her fingers into a fist, Slowly constricting his heart in his sleep so it would look like he died of natural causes.

"You don't deserve to die in your sleep… Too bad no one can explain what the black ooze in your body does." Hope muttered quietly as she watched a couple of trails of ooze start to stream down his nose.

The Tribrid hated that she was killing him in his sleep as he didn't deserve this peaceful-like death. He deserved pain but she really shouldn't leave any physical marks or magical ones, otherwise she would've just AK'ed him on the spot.

However, since Daph and Hope had informed Chris and Allison that they came from the Hogwarts universe during their first interaction in France. Using Avada Kedavra would be an obvious option Chris would consider once he realises his father died.

Stopping Gerard's heart was something that Chris wouldn't expect.

Daphne even seemed surprised that this was a possible method of killing someone and once again questioned, "Why do you have so many spells that kill someone in your universe?"

"You have to learn to keep things original otherwise things get boring." Hope answered with a shrug while the blonde Witch managed a tired eye roll in retaliation.

Hope took her time strangling Gerard's heart, listening as his breathing somehow managed to get more laboured. It took nearly 15 minutes stopping the elder Hunter's heart to ensure that his death would look like he had a heart attack in his sleep.

Once Hope no longer heard any more heartbeats coming from the unmoving body on the bed. The Tribrid observed the man for a few more moments to make sure there weren't any surprises as she released her magic on his heart. She waited another 3 minutes just staring at his black-streaked oozed face before Hope's supernatural hearing picked up the new nursing shift change.

Hope sent one last glare towards Gerard before apparating back home and crawling back into bed with Daphne and Allison, snuggling up against Daphne's back.

"Mmm… My heater is back. Hello darling. I missed you" The blonde sleepily replied as she entangled her legs with Hope's.

Hope chuckled as she pulled Daph closer into herself so the blonde's head was on Hope's arm.

"Go to sleep, love. I'm right here." Hope breathed into Daphne's silky sunlight coloured hair.

The blonde used her magic to shift Allison closer to both her and Hope, burying her nose into the ravenette's neck, scenting the Huntress's natural scent of silver, forest and moonlight. The Slytherin girl hummed in contentment as she was bracketed by her two soulmates.

- - -

Allison's phone broke the girls out of their sleep causing them all to groan and Hope to mumble something about maiming wherever is disrupting their sleep.

"Wha? Dad? It's 6 in the morning." Allison groggily answered her phone.

Hope winced a little as she overheard Chris ask Allison whether or not Hope was still with her.

Allison's eyebrow rose at the question and the hint of guilt that suddenly surged through their bond as she glanced at the Tribrid. "Yeah, she's here. Why?"

Chris took a moment before relaying to his daughter that Gerard passed away in his sleep last night. Allison tensed up slightly at the information as she wondered how to react to this. Gerard was a sore spot for the Huntress. The man was her grandfather but he was also an abuser, manipulator and murderer.

Allison's gaze landed firmly on Hope while Daphne just groaned a little at the emotions from the two girls on the bed and rubbed at her temples.

"A heart attack? And there's no hint of foul play or magic?" Allison asked in a detached tone as she watched Hope exit the bedroom like the room was on fire.

The Huntress pressed the mute button on her phone before turning to Daphne. "She totally killed my grandfather didn't she?"

The blonde blinked a couple of times at the direct question and sighed. "Yes. Although if she didn't, I would've. Gerard would've told other Hunters about Hope being the Wolf Queen and that she was dating you. They would've come after you to get to her, to us."

"How can you be so sure about that?" Allison asked with a raised eyebrow.

Daphne shrugged nonchalantly. "We read his mind."

Allison's father stunned the ravenette when he practically told her that Hope got away with murder as the doctors labelled Gerard's death a mixture of a heart attack and his undiagnosable illness. Then Daphne easily admitted that she and Hope could read minds like it was an everyday occurrence.

Allison shook her head to clear her thoughts before unmuting the phone and replying to her father. "I honestly don't know how to feel about Gerard's death, dad. He told me I was a disgrace last night so I'm not really feeling like there's a lot of love lost there. But… just like Kate he's still family. Please tell me that his funeral won't be a spectacle like Aunt Kate's, otherwise I'm not going."

Chris sighed a little at his daughter's response but couldn't fault her for it as Kate, Gerard and even her mother have all let her down in some way in recent years. "I'll see what I can do. However Gerard was never arrested at any point in Beacon Hills, so that shouldn't be a problem… It's the Hunters that will show up to pay respects that I'm worried about.."

Allison frowned but her father continued. "I would suggest that you should go to the funeral so the Hunters don't have any reason to hang around longer than necessary. Especially if you want to keep them away from Hope. Invite Daphne or Lydia if you want but please for the love of God don't bring any Werewolves. A Witch we could pass off as human so long as she doesn't use any magic."

Daphne overheard this and acquiesced to Chris' reasoning. "It would get them off your back darling. If you want I can tell Hope the plan?"

Chris must've been a little put off by Daphne's reply as it took him a few seconds to regain his composure. "So where is your Werewolf right now?"

Allison looked at Daphne with a look as she wasn't about to throw Hope under a bus for killing Gerard but didn't know how to answer that without giving anything away.

"She overheard you suspect her of killing your father, got offended and left the room and is making breakfast for us." "She's also grovelling and grabbed a giant tub of twizzlers for you… Oh and she's finishing up something special for you."

"What? More death?" The ravenette questioned with an unimpressed look.

This time Daphne looked a little sheepish. "No… We did that last night after you fell asleep in the car…"

Allison was a little dumbstruck at the information causing her to open and shut her mouth a few times until her father's voice broke her out of her stupor. "I'll see you later tonight dad. There's a school recital that everyone has to go to."

The Argents exchanged goodbyes but when Allison turned to demand some more answers from the blonde Witch she was no longer in the room with her. Allison cursed under her breath at her soulmate's disappearing antics before pulling herself out of bed.

Allison moved downstairs only to be greeted by Hope and Daphne in a staring contest, probably talking to each other in their minds. Hope was the first to shift around to face her.

"Am I in trouble? Daph mentioned that you didn't feel angry when your father told you about Gerard's death nor when Daph told you that I did kill him." Hope warily asked the Huntress with her hands nervously playing in front of her.

"I'm not completely sure. I don't want to condone violence or death but last night I think I saw some more flashes of your memories. So I'm beginning to understand why you both resort to threats with extreme prejudice but that's not me." Allison replied thoughtfully as she reached over to the bench to drag the tub of twizzlers to herself.

Hope blinked a little and tilted her head to the side in slight confusion as she expected Allison to blow up at her. "Oh… I don't expect you to become like us Allison. You're a protector… Also I just want to say I am sorry for going behind your back and killing Gerard."

Allison's expression hardened a little and shook it off. "I'm not sure how to reply to that just yet. I'm not angry with you but I don't want to discuss Gerard."

"Now what was this about killing more people last night?" Allison questioned as she chewed on a twizzler and Hope's gaze shot towards Daph who looked like she wanted to disappear from sight.

Hope turned back to Allison with a look of bewilderment on her face. "Right… Well Deucalion decided he wanted to come after us without actually sending any of his Pack after us. He promised the Alpha a spot on his Pack if they managed to take us out. Daph and I killed them and apparated their bodies directly into the Alpha's penthouse with a note basically saying 'good try' and if they do this again we won't just kill the messengers, we'll come after them."

Allison stopped chewing for a moment before sighing a little but before Allison could reply Daphne softly added. "If it helps, they attacked first… If you want, can we show you the memory from last night?"

Allison pondered this notion for a few moments as she thought about the implications of sharing memories purposefully instead of unintentionally through dreams and proximity. "Would you only be willing to share just that memory or would you be able to show me more of your lives? Because these memory flashes are very inconsistent and not always in order."

Daphne and Hope shared a quick glance to one another before the Tribrid replied. "If you really want to, of course we'd be willing to show you more but you can always ask any questions you have to us."

"I know." Allison responded easily..

However before Allison could view the memory from last night Hope smacked Daphne's shoulder in annoyance. "Hey! Why did you ruin my surprise?"

"I didn't!" Daphne defended herself as looked offended at the implication from her wife. "I mean yes, I told Allison you had something special to give her but I never said what it was. Also you planned on giving it to her within the next few days anyway."

Hope was grumbling to herself and Allison watched the pair in fascination trying not to laugh at their banter but cleared her throat which quickly made both of the girls remain quiet at the sound.

Hope then rushed out of the room with a gust of supernatural speed and returned a moment later with a sturdy looking trunk in hand and softly placing it on the table with care. The Tribrid back a bit, motioning for the Huntress forward.

"I should mention that Daph and I both worked on this for you." Hope announced proudly as she slid up next to the blonde Witch who also had a pleased smile on her face.

Allison finished off the twizzler in her hand before slowly moving forward to stand in front of the wooden trunk. With one last glance up to both girls she slowly opened the box.

The Huntress' dark russet coloured eyes widened as she looked at the contents of the trunk and slowly picked up the bow and shifted it back and forth in her hands. The quality of the bow was exceptional. Incredibly sturdy for a wooden bow and small grooves in the wood near the middle of the curve of the bow for her hand to hold the weapon.

Allison gripped the bow in her least dominant hand and moved quickly into and archery stance, pulling back the bowstring which was shocking at the right tightness level for someone of her skill and caliber. She released the string allowing it to snap bap into place, watching as the bow absorbed the force of the action and whistled low in her throat.

"This is beautiful. What wood is this? I don't think I've seen a bow made from this wood before." Allison questioned as she ran her fingers down the soft wood that felt natural in her hands.

"Cypress. I know that it is normally a soft wood but with a couple of Witches placing impervious charms on it makes the bow very difficult to break." Daphne answered with a smile.

"Admittedly I was the one who adjusted the bow and etched in the additional details of vinework and the inscriptions on the inner curve." Daphne added shyly.

Allison had noticed the vinework pattern at the top and bottom of the bow but now that Daphne pointed it out she did recall seeing some inscriptions on the inside of the bow when readying to shoot.

The Huntress blinked in surprise reading one of the inscriptions in French, 'Nous protégeons ceux qui ne peuvent pas se protéger eux-mêmes' (We protect those who can not protect themselves). The next inscription was in Norwegian 'Alltid og for alltid' (Always and forever) and the last one was in Latin, 'Numquam negabis fortunam tuam ad felicitatem propter alios' (Never deny your chance at happiness for the sake of others).

There also seemed to be enough room at the bottom of the bow to fit one more inscription, obviously left there for their final soulmate.

"This is amazing… I assume the French is for me, the Latin yourself and the Norwegian is Hope considering our history?" Allison wondered aloud already knowing the answer but just wanting to put it into words.

"Yes darling." Daphne smiled as she and Hope were surprised by a sudden hug from the Huntress.

"I love it. Thank you. Both of you." Allison reiterated before pressing a kiss into both of the girls' cheeks.

Daphne smirked a little when Allison turned back around to look at the other items in the trunk and silently sent a quick message over to Hope. "At this rate you're never going to get a kiss from Allison."

Hope's face broke into a small scowl before smacking Daphne on the ass dragging Allison gaze back to the pair as Daphne yelped at the suddenness of the smack on her behind.

"Do I want to know what that was about?" Allison wondered as her eyes shifted between the two girls.

"Daph knows why. Don't you, my mischievous little minx?" Hope managed to say with a straight face but sent a small zap of electricity against the blonde Witch making her jump at the sensation with another little yelp.

Daphne's lips pursed together as she tried not to laugh at the situation they were in.

The Huntress shook her head slightly before coming to her own conclusion which also happened to be surprisingly accurate. "Let me guess. Daph said something over the bond that you took offense to?"

Hope nodded subconsciously at Allison's guess and the ravenette rolled her eyes at the couple before turning back to pull out the quiver filled with some very familiar looking arrows. Aluminium shafts with military-grade, armour-piercing, titanium arrowheads.

"How did you know what kind of arrows I used?" Allison questioned the pair.

Hope looked a little sheepish before stating that she had Daphne check the Argent Armory so Hope could get all the correct materials. Allison couldn't find it in her to be annoyed that her soulmates broke into her family's Armory and just laughed as she swung the quiver onto her shoulder.

Allison picked up the bow and walked over to the garage turned training room. Daphne waved her hand to set up a few targets on the other side of the expanded room. The Emrys couple leaned against the doorframe looking in as they watched Allison get into her stance and quick-fired off some arrows.

The first couple were a little off the bullseyes as this was the first time using a new bow but the ravenette archer quickly adjusted to the new bow like it was an extension of herself. After firing about 10 arrows at the targets Allison moved forward to grab the arrows out of the targets so she could start firing again.

"Wait." Daphne called out to her fellow archer. "These arrows were enchanted by Hope. It's why this gift took so long to give to you."

Allison tilted her head slightly in confusion towards the pair.

"Pull out another arrow and look at the shaft." Hope lightly suggested with a smirk plastered on her face.

Hope and Daphne explained how the arrows could be altered by her thoughts to whatever she could think up. Flashbang arrows, explosive arrows, bola arrows, fire arrows, ice arrows, smoke bomb arrows and so many others.

The Huntress literally leaned against a wall and pictured as many different arrowheads as she could which was a lot. Even Daphne was intrigued and started questioning Allison about the different effects after showing off her own skill with a bow.

Allison and Daphne then started a full-blown conversation about archery that completely went over Hope's head.

The Tribrid called out a few times to announce that she was going to check on Lydia before school started but was drowned out by her soulmates so she collected a change of clothes for the Banshee and just apparated away.

- - -

Hope apparated outside the hospital, out of sight of the cameras before moving towards the main entrance. The Tribrid could have sensed for the Banshee or even Alexandria but she thought that this would look bizarre for the receptionist who already clocked her as she walked into the hospital.

The Mikaelson girl made her way over to the receptionist and asked if she could visit Danny as she wanted to check on him and a friend who stayed overnight with him, showing the receptionist the bag of clothes.

The female receptionist just gave a small smile, seeing that these kids truly cared for each other and looked up the boy's room and gave directions to the young girl. Hope thanked her and moved to follow the woman's directions.

As Hope entered the room she noticed that Danny was up and about, silently moving in order not to wake the sleeping Banshee on the bed and froze as he saw Hope walk into the room.

"Hey…" Danny awkwardly started as he finished pulling on his shirt.

"Relax Danny. I'm just here to give Lydia a change of clothes. Why are you up so early anyway?" Hope wondered as she approached the bed and brushed a lock of strawberry blonde hair out of Lydia's face.

The Banshee twitched slightly in her sleep at the sensation but her eyes remained closed as Danny watched interaction in curiosity. "I have to get to the school for music practice for the recital tonight. I'm glad you're here though."

Hope turned to observe the lacrosse player and tilted her head in question,

"I never noticed how much her mother was stressing her out. Moving out. Moving in with you and Daphne. It's been good for her. She seems happier. More like the girl I knew back in primary school. Lydia's coming back into that kind, intelligent girl that welcomed me easily into her friend group and later stood up for me when I came out." Danny mentioned in a quiet tone as he glanced down at the strawberry blonde with a reminiscence look on his face.

Hope turned back to Lydia, her face softening the longer Danny spoke. "She played the 'dumb card' when she started dating Jackson and started acting materialistic as that's the kind of girl she believed Jackson wanted in a relationship. I know that he screwed her up. A lot. But I can see that she's coming back into herself and I know that's because of Allison, Scott, Stiles, you and Daphne. So thank you for looking after her and accepting her into your home."

"Danny… You don't need to thank me or Daph, or even Allison. We care about Lydia and it was no hardship to bring her into our lives. Into my family and family to me is always and forever." Hope softly refuted the boys' admission of gratitude.

The boy nodded slowly as he picked up the rest of his belongings before heading to the door. "I'll ask if Nurse McCall will allow Lydia a few minutes to use the shower. She hates the smell of hospitals. Could you stay in the room with her, outside of the shower of course, Lydia's last trip to the hospital ended…strangely and from what I saw a couple of weeks ago when you and Daphne followed her into the music room, you can keep her safe."

The Tribrid nodded. "I'll stay as long as she lets me… And Danny?"

The boy turned back as he crossed the threshold and faced the brunette with a questioning expression on his face.

"If Lydia hasn't mentioned it yet, you're welcome to come to our place. Any time." Hope informed him with a polite smile.

Danny had a wide smile on his face and nodded his head in acceptance before turning around and heading off to sign himself out of the hospital.

Alexandria knocked on the window, requesting to be let into the room so Hope moved over to open the window for the bird to fly inside and perch happily on Hope's left shoulder. The Tribrid placed a quick invisibility spell over the sunlight coloured Thunderbird as she believed it when Danny said he would get Melissa to come by and allow Lydia to use the shower.

Hope had been stroking the bird's soft feathers while mentally talking to her, filling her in on the events from last night and this morning when she heard a heartbeat approaching the room so she lowered her hand into her lap.

Melissa McCall lightly knocked on the wooden door frame before entering the room with a towel in hand but faltered at the sight of the brunette girl sitting in the chair across from the strawberry blonde.

The nurse observed the girl in front of her as she tried to picture this 5'3" teenager as the 'Queen of the Werewolves' according to her son and just blinked a couple of times before moving forward and placing the towel on the end of the bed.

Hope smiled a little as she spoke. "I assume Scott's informed you about me?"

"Maybe. Are you going to start any trouble?" The Hispanic woman questioned back nearly as quickly.

"Maybe, but not here and not now. Besides, I already placed you and Scott as well as the Argents and Stilinskis' under my protection against Deucalion and the Alpha Pack. So long as you don't try to kill me, I'll protect you Ms McCall." Hope politely told the older woman who frowned a little at the declaration.

"It's not in my nature to hurt someone and it shouldn't be your responsibility to protect me, even if you are a supernatural being you are still a child." Melissa countered wisely in a way that surprisingly didn't set off Hope's pride.

Hope observed the woman thoughtfully. "Perhaps not… But in my experience, most of the adults I've come across don't seem to care enough to protect the people they've swore to protect. Two separate events in my life have shown me otherwise… Maybe this time will be different. I can tell that you care. That the sheriff cares… Even the school cares more about their students than my last two schools did."

"But everyone I've come across apart from Scott is human. Although I also know from experience that some humans like the Argents are practically born to fight against supernatural forces. But sometimes this isn't enough." Hope attempted to explain to the nurse.

Melissa wanted to argue with the girl but her words felt like they came from someone who has seen too much war and death in her young life that she couldn't actually form a response in regards to Hope's experience.

Instead Melissa just motioned to the door in the corner of the room. "The bathroom is over there. If you can wake Lydia and inform her that she has 15 minutes max to have a shower with hot water before it gets shut off."

The nurse left the room in silence and Hope shifted over to wake the Banshee with a soft shake of her shoulder. Lydia moaned at the sensation, slowly opening her eyes to see Hope sitting beside her.

"Hope? Why are you in my room?" Lydia murmured through squinted eyes before turning slightly and dragging the bed sheet up to cover her eyes from the bright sunlight streaming in through the window.

Hope rolled her sra-blue eyes as she pulled the bedsheet back down. "Lyds… You're at the hospital and you need to have a quick shower while nurse McCall lifts the water restrictions for you."

The strawberry blonde somehow managed to pull herself out of the hospital bed and into the shower while Hope waited patiently with Alexandria for the Banshee. When Lydia finally made her way out of the bathroom she completely ignored the brunette girl and walked out of the room without a second glance.

Hope blinked as she watched the strawberry blonde leave the room before groaning a little as she realised that Lydia entered another Banshee trance. The Tribrid got up off the chair she was sitting on and raced after the strawberry blonde using human speed so as not to attract any attention.

The receptionist observed Lydia leave the hospital with a small frown as she wished the girl a good day but the strawberry blonde ignored her. But she got a response from the brunette who brought the other girl a set of clothes as she ran out of the hospital doors hot on the strawberry blonde's tail..

Lydia had entered her car and Hope just barely squeezed her way into the car before the Banshee drove away.

"Lyds?... Lydia?... Yeah, she's gone." Hope attempted to gain the other girl's attention with a sigh as she placed her head in her hand as she looked out the window, absentmindedly petting the Thunderbird who moved onto her lap when Hope zoomed into the car.

Alexandria was appreciative of her human's physical interaction but couldn't take her worried eyes off Hope's new friend, someone who Hope has brought into her inner circle, something that Alexandria believed was incredibly important in the great scheme of things.

The Tribrid glanced between the tranced girl, out the front windshield and out the window, feeling slightly concerned about letting the Banshee drive a car while under the influence of a fugue state.

Honestly the Tribrid was grateful that the sun was barely peeking over the horizon and there weren't a lot of cars on the road at this time of day.

Hope's frown deepened as Lydia pulled up next to the school and stepped out of the car after putting it in park. The Tribrid followed but froze as she opened the car door at the scent of blood in the air.

"Oh, great." Hope muttered as she pulled herself out of her friend's car.

Lydia seemed to snap out of her fugue state at the sound of Hope speaking beside her. "Uh, Hope? Why are we at the school?"

Hope just glanced over the top of Lydia's car with a look and the strawberry blonde's face paled as she blurted out , "Oh, no… Not again. Please tell me I didn't just do what I think I just did."

"Sorry, love." Hope shrugged a little with a half-smile. "But just so you know, you didn't do anything too strange… Except maybe snub the receptionist at the hospital."

"Great. I really hate these powers sometimes." Lydia muttered in annoyance with a shake of her head.

Lydia looked around for a moment before turning back to Hope with an unimpressed look on her face. "So… I'm guessing that I should probably call Stiles if I managed to get here against my own volition?"

"It wouldn't go astray." Hope replied.

"Damn it." Lydia groaned as she pulled her phone out of her purse.

The girls waited around for Scott and Stiles to make their appearance. The boys were a little shocked to see Lydia with the Wolf Queen.

Scott tilted his head in confusion at the Mikaelson girl, recalling the conversation he had with his mother just before Stiles called him about Lydia and a potential dead body call.

"Lydia?" Stiles called out as he walked up to the pair and gave a curious and suspicious glance at the other Werewolf.

"It's the same thing-- same thing as the pool. I got into the car heading somewhere totally different, and ended up here.: ...And you told me to call you if there's a dead body." Lydia explained as she crossed her arms over her chest in frustration.

"You found a dead body?" Stiles asked before shooting another quick glance at Hope.

"Not yet." Lydia replied with a disgusted twitch of her nose at the thought.

Hope watched as Scott picked up the scent of blood in the air, catching Hope's eyes as the Wolf Queen nodded her head in silent understanding.

"Not yet? What do you mean, 'not yet'? Lydia, you're supposed to call us after you find the dead body." Stiles complained.

The strawberry blonde scoffed in annoyance as she leveled a glare at the lanky boy in front of her and scoffed. "Oh no. I'm not doing that again. You find the dead body from now on."

"How are we supposed to find the dead body!? You're the one that always finds the dead body! In fact, why is she here?" Stiles flapped his arms in exasperation as his frustration got the better of him.

Hope rolled her eyes. "Went to pick her up from the hospital and ended up here when Lydia decided to take us for the drive."

"As for the body?" Hope tapped her nose a couple of times before pointing towards Scott after speaking her next words. "The nose knows, Stiles."

"Guys?" Scott called out gathering the other 3 teenagers' attention. "I found the dead body."

Lydia blanched as she saw the body laying on the school's engraved sign. "Ugh. Sometimes I miss the normal days without death at every turn."

- - -

"So you just ditched them after they started divulging into their love of archery?" Lydia chuckled as she walked with Hope through the front doors of the school after speaking to the police.

Hope groaned a little as she threw her head back in faux annoyance. "More like they ignored me. I had to send them a mental reminder that they had to get ready for school. I don't think I've felt such contempt from interrupting a conversation in my life."

The strawberry blonde couldn't help but laugh at the Tribrid's misfortune.

"What I'm more concerned about is Danny;s resilience. I still can't believe he's coming back to school literally one day after being released from hospital." Hope changed the subject as she was over people making fun of her for the day.

"To be honest he said he was fine last night but stayed in the hospital so Melissa, Scott's mum, wouldn't stress too much. Danny could tell how much she cared about him. She even stayed at the hospital that night and checked in on us throughout the night. It was sweet." Lydia clarified for the other girl as she stopped in front of her locker to get some books out for the day.

Hope hummed in deep thought. "Well I'm glad he's feeling better and that Melissa was there throughout the night to keep an eye on the two of you."

"I suppose I should thank you for showing up when you did to magic me up with a change of clothes. Thank god Melissa let me use one of the showers. Hospital smell is not a good smell on me." Lydia grimaced a little at the last bit of her rant.

The brunette let out a short huff of laughter at the Banshee's disgusted expression as her mind veered off for a moment, trying to recall if anything happened during the recital. At the sound of Lydia greeting Allison and Daphne brought Hope out of her head and a big smile crossed her face at the sight of her two soulmates.

However at the sight of Allison's frown and Daphne's distracted expression, Hope's smile faltered. "What's wrong?"

"Sheriff Stilinski pulled me aside. Dad was also there. The sheriff is practically pulling out his hair wondering how these murders are related. He thinks we're hiding something from him… Which we are but it's not like we can tell him that." Allison informed the other two supernatural beings in front of her.

Hope sighed at her mate's frustration before mentioning. "Well they aren't murders. They are sacrifices."

"But sacrifices of what exactly? Why these people? What's so special about them?" Lydia wondered as she turned to look between Daphne and Hope before keeping her attention on the Tribrid, fully aware that Daphne would keep her silence as she takes Hope's lead in these situations.

"The sacrifices are done in sets of 3. There will be 5 sets for the ritual to come into full effect." Hope answered, surprising all three girls as they weren't expecting the normally information-restrictive girl to speak up.

"What's the spell supposed to do? You've never mentioned it to me before." Daphne questioned, quickly realising Hope was willing to share some information at this time and will take advantage of her wife's temporary openness.

"I remember reading this ritual in a grimoire my Aunt Freya warned me about not using unless there was no other choice… The ritual calls for: Death of virgins to enhance their glamouring ability and seduction, warriors for super-strength, healers in order to heal herself and/or others, philosophers for knowledge and strategy, then finally, guardians." Hope recalled as she leaned against the lockers, looking between the three girls.

Allison and Lydia shared a look as they did some quick math counting 10 deaths so far and Lydia murmured. "Virgins were first… The body at the pool. He wore a promise ring. Boyd's friend. Warriors."

"Healers were next. Scott was beside himself worrying about Melissa being taken but it was Deaton who was taken instead… What do you know about the police officer who was killed this morning? She'd have to be a guardian right? She's a police officer." Allison muttered as her brain tried to work overtime on how to save the next victim.

Lydia shook her head slightly. "I wouldn't assume that Ally. Tara used to be a teacher before she became a cop."

"Oh… Wait, Hope? You never mentioned what the death of the guardians will give the Darach." Allison sighed in disappointment before a stray thought crossed her mind.

Daphne was the one who answered this as the answer became somewhat obvious when Hope was detailing the enhancements of the ritual. "Protection. Probably something akin to durability and magical resistance."

Hope clicked her tongue and pointed at the blonde. "10 points to Slytherin, love."

"Wonderful." Daphne replied with a deadpan.
