Chapter 168 - The Beast Unbound.

Third Person's POV.

The elevator doors open directly into the foyer of Percy and Gemini's apartment. The apartment was nearly dark, save for the amber glow of the city's skyline bleeding through the floor-to-ceiling windows. Gemini stepped inside, his arms filled with shopping bags, his heart still light from his dinner with Ohio.

But as the door clicked shut, the air in the room felt heavy—electrically charged. Percy was standing by the window, a glass of amber liquid in his hand, his suit jacket discarded and his white dress shirt unbuttoned at the collar. He didn't turn around immediately, but the sheer look of his silhouette against the city lights made Gemini's breath hitch.

"You're late," Percy said. His voice wasn't cold, but it was low, vibrating with a restless energy that Gemini recognized from the archives.

"Ohio and I lost track of time," Gemini said, setting his bags down on the marble floor. "You know how it gets when we're together."

Percy turned then, his green eyes dark and fixed. He set his glass down on the side table and began to walk toward Gemini. He stopped just inches from Gemini, the scent of expensive bourbon and cedarwood enveloped them. He reached out, his hand sliding into Gemini's hair, tilting his head back.

Percy had spent hours in a board meeting today. Hours pretending he was listening to projections and logistics while all he could think about was the ghost of Gemini's hands on his body. All he could see was Gemini pressed against that shelf in the archive.

"I came home expecting you to be here, waiting for me to finish what we started earlier. Instead, I get a text saying you're still out with your best friend while I'm vibrating out of my skin. Do you have any idea what you're doing to me?"

Gemini swallowed hard, his hands reaching up to rest on Percy's chest. He could feel the frantic, heavy thud of Percy's heart beneath the silk shirt.

"I thought... I thought you'd cool down after your meeting. I didn't think you'd be... waiting. You're all I could think about. I haven't been able to think about anything else all day."

A satisfied smirk pulled at Percy's lips. "Good. Because I can't be the only one suffering. You won't stop me now, would you? We're no longer at the office. No more rules."

Percy didn't give him a chance to respond. He scooped Gemini up, his movements effortless, and carried him toward the bedroom. He didn't lay him down completely; he settled him on the edge of the massive bed, hovering over him like a hawk.

Gemini could barely keep up with what followed next. Percy was like a man possessed by his needs, his touch territorial and desperate. He kissed Gemini with a hunger that felt like it could consume them both, his hands mapping every inch of Gemini's skin as if he were trying to memorize him all over again.

"Look at me, Bunny." Percy commanded in a husky voice. "You're trembling. Good. Tell me you're mine forever. Say it."

Gemini arched into him, his fingers digging into the muscles of Percy's back. The "beast" Ohio had talked about was real, and it was breathtaking. Percy was usually so controlled, so calculated, but here, in the dark of their room, he was raw and primal.

"I'm yours, Percy... always." Gemini let out, gasping for air.

Everything was suddenly a blur of tangled sheets and the low, gutteral sounds of two people finally claiming what they'd been denied all day.

Gemini held for his dear life on as Percy took him on a wild ride. It wasn't just about the physical release; it was an outpouring of the love Percy usually kept locked behind a stoic mask. Right now, he's being clingy, his body draped over Gemini's like a shield, whispering promises and demands into the crook of his neck.

Hours later, the room was silent, save for the rhythmic sound of their breathing. The moon had shifted, casting silver stripes across the rumpled bed.

Percy was still holding Gemini, his arms wrapped tightly around his waist, pulling his back flush against Percy's chest. He wouldn't let an inch of space come between them. He kissed Gemini's shoulder, his movements slow and gentle.

"You're not thinking about leaving the house early tomorrow, are you?" Percy murmured, his voice thick with sleep and contentment.

Gemini chuckled softly, leaning his head back against Percy's chin. "I think I'm going to be too sore for that. You're a menace, Perseus Morre."

"I was only following instructions, Bunny," Percy corrected, his grip tightening.

Gemini closed his eyes, feeling the warmth of Percy's body and the gentleness of his hold. Ohio was right—the beast inside Percy had been unleashed, and while it was definitely "freaky," it was also the most loved Gemini had ever felt. He fell asleep knowing that tomorrow, even across three floors of glass and steel, he would still belong entirely to the most amazing man in the world.
