"I'm the kind of guy who loves close combat. And you? You won't use your specialty magic and even let me get close—if you're not looking to die, who is?"
Upon hearing Lin Qi's words, Demigra clutched his abdomen and vomited blood repeatedly—whether from rage or the severity of his wounds, it wasn't clear.
Though gravely injured, his gaze remained venomous, locked tightly onto Lin Qi. "You bastard... You've gotten even stronger than last time!"
If he had to endure a few hundred of those strikes, even if he'd ascended to godhood, Demigra wouldn't survive it.
"You're just wasting my time. I haven't even ordered my takeout yet!" Lin Qi raised an eyebrow, both hands already positioned at his waist.
"If I'm late, Whis is definitely gonna make things hard for me again!"
"Hey, hey, Lin Qi—don't tell me you're about to unleash that kind of energy attack?!" Chronoa's expression turned to shock as she saw the energy forming between Lin Qi's hands.
"If you lose control of that, never mind us—even the Time Nest itself could be wiped out!"
"Cough... Don't worry, Lin Qi knows what he's doing." Goku climbed out of a crater, struggling to support Vegeta as they moved toward Chronoa.
"Hey, stop standing there! Hurry up and heal us!" Vegeta snapped irritably at Chronoa, though his voice was weak.
"Yeah, once we're healed, let us borrow the Potara earrings!" Goku nodded in agreement. "Otherwise, we won't be able to fight anymore!"
"You two are insane!" Chronoa's mouth twitched at their casual tone.
The energy in Lin Qi's hands had fully gathered. Its sheer intensity made the entire Time Nest tremble—loose stones rattled and rolled across the ground.
"Hey, hey… you're planning to hit me with that kind of energy?" Demigra stared at Lin Qi in disbelief, extending his hand in protest like a dramatic soap opera character.
"Damn it… Can't we talk this out?!"
Demigra tried to scramble to his feet and dodge, but his previous beating had left him too slow—he was practically crawling.
"You think things are that convenient? Waste my time, and you pay the price."
Lin Qi cast a cold glance at the panicked Demigra and fired off his Kamehameha.
The brilliant white energy beam shot straight toward Demigra, engulfing his entire body in an instant.
He had no chance to escape. The devastating explosion obliterated everything nearby, reducing all the surrounding rubble to dust and wiping it from existence.
All of it was consumed by Lin Qi's energy wave. Chronoa, stunned by the scene before her, screamed with joy.
"We won?! It's real—amazing! As expected of Lin Qi—the one who defeated Mechikabura! Demigra's finally dead!"
Time Patrol Vegeta snorted arrogantly. "What are you so happy about? This is your fault for not healing us faster. Now we can't even use the earrings!"
"Haha! That's Lin Qi for you—he took care of that guy so easily!" Time Patrol Goku let out a relieved laugh, dropping his guard completely.
"That's great. Now that we've won, we can rebuild the Time Nest." Time Patrol Trunks gave a bright smile.
Time Patrol Goten and Time Patrol Pan began walking toward Lin Qi in the sky. "Even though I…"
"Don't come any closer—!"
Still in his Super Saiyan 5 form, Lin Qi shouted coldly, but before he could act, another burst of energy shot out from the lingering smoke, headed straight for the unguarded Goten and Pan.
Boom!
Another cloud of smoke erupted. Lin Qi used Instant Transmission to appear in front of Goten and Pan, shielding them and taking the full hit.
"You two…" Lin Qi looked at the unconscious pair on the ground with exasperation. He had taken the brunt of the explosion, yet the residual shockwave was still too much for them—they were knocked out cold!
"Hahahaha! You really underestimated me! You think an attack like that could kill me?!"
An arrogant voice rang out as a monstrous figure appeared before everyone—a creature with beige skin on the upper body and blue on the lower.
Even Chamel and Robelu, who had been quietly observing, unconsciously backed away.
"That is…"
Chamel and Robelu exchanged glances, swallowing nervously.
"A monster? What's going on? You're… Demigra?" Even Chronoa couldn't tell for sure what the creature was.
Time Patrol Gohan quickly positioned himself behind Lin Qi alongside Time Patrol Goku, shielding the unconscious Goten and Pan and retreating to safety.
"What's with that form?" Gohan murmured.
Demigra paid no mind to their shock. His eyes gleamed with malice as he looked over the group like they were already dead.
"Haha! Bet you didn't see this coming! This is my true form. Hideous, I know…"
"But I've fully unleashed my power. If I hadn't entered this state, I'd probably be dead right now!"
"How… How can this be?!" Gohan looked devastated. Could Lin Qi really not beat Demigra either?
Lin Qi looked speechless. Gohan, are you the narrator now? And can you not be so pessimistic?
"It's a shame you all had to see me like this, but no matter—" Demigra grinned wickedly. "As long as I kill you all, no one will know what I really look like!"
His words left even his own allies, Chamel and Robelu, visibly uneasy—they had seen it too...
Now what?
Demigra floated into the air, towering over the Time Patrol members below. His body radiated a terrifying aura.
"Hey, Lin Qi—do you still have any Senzu Beans?" Chronoa asked anxiously, her voice tight with fear.
"If you do, hurry and give them to Goku and Vegeta. Once they fuse, the three of you might still have a chance!"
"If not, then no one can stand against that thing… Am I really going to watch the Time Nest fall before my eyes?"
Seeing the despair on Chronoa's face, Lin Qi felt a little annoyed. "Why are you so sure I can't beat him alone?"
"No, we haven't given up yet!" Time Patrol Vegeta, though badly injured, stood beside Lin Qi.
Time Patrol Goku nodded firmly, clenching his fists. "That's right. We'll fight until the very end!"
Even Time Patrol Trunks stepped forward, smiling as he shielded Chronoa. "Supreme Kai of Time, we'll do everything we can to hold him off!"
"You need to get away—if you're still alive, the Time Nest still has hope. We'll always be members of the Time Patrol!"
"Thank you… Trunks… sob" The touching scene reduced Chronoa to tears—her crying like a string of pearls snapping loose.
