Chapter 152: Lightning Cell, You Sure Talk a Lot
Cell had nearly circled the Earth and was about to go on an interstellar trip—he had almost died without a sound.
After finally managing to shed his momentum and steady himself, Cell had no idea where he was. But he didn't even have time to think.
Gohan was already in front of him again, and with another ferocious punch, sent Cell flying into the sky.
"Die... Cell!" Gohan raised both hands and unleashed a Masenko at the airborne Cell.
Faced with Gohan's relentless attacks, Cell dodged as much as he could—when he couldn't, he simply tanked the blows.
Even though all four of his limbs were damaged, Cell's energy hadn't weakened much. The stumps of his severed limbs writhed, and new arms and legs began to grow.
"Wh-What the hell is that thing?!" Trunks exclaimed in disbelief, eyes wide with shock.
Lin Qi, however, didn't look too surprised. He actually seemed a bit curious. After all, the current Cell couldn't defeat Gohan at all…
So, would that Lightning Cell with 60 billion power level still make an appearance?
The battle high above continued.
Another Masenko grazed past Cell's nose, and before he could react, Gohan appeared in front of him again and drove a fist straight at his face.
Cell flailed to dodge, retreating rapidly to put distance between himself and Gohan. He unleashed countless energy beams from his fingertips. "You bastard... damn you!"
Gohan calmly swatted each of the beams away. After this barrage, Cell had to admit to himself just how powerful Gohan was.
"Hmph. So this is all you've got? Doesn't seem like much after all," Gohan said coldly, staring down at the gritting Cell.
"If that's your best, then you can go ahead and die!"
Those same words—once spoken by Cell—were now coldly thrown back by Gohan.
Cell felt a surge of humiliation. He swung his fists furiously, but not a single hit landed. Then, he suddenly raised one hand and shot into the sky.
At the tip of his finger formed Frieza's signature attack—the Supernova!
"Then die... along with this Earth you love so much!" Cell cackled maniacally. "Hahaha… die!"
The earth began to shake violently as Cell gathered his energy, his terrifying aura making Trunks incredibly anxious.
"Gohan! Stop him! Why aren't you moving…?"
Gohan remained motionless, simply staring upward, as if that tremendous energy didn't matter at all.
"Hahaha… die! This is the price of your arrogance!" Cell roared, slamming the massive energy sphere down.
As the energy ball grew ever larger, Gohan's lips moved. He placed his hands at his waist.
"Kame… hame…"
"Ha!!!"
As Gohan thrust his hands forward, a brilliant beam of light surged upward, pushing back the massive energy sphere.
"No… no way…" Cell screamed, eyes wide as the energy ball engulfed him.
"I'm the perfect being… the ultimate form… how could I…"
His voice was full of resentment, disbelief, and sheer terror.
The blinding light ripped across the sky, and under that vast energy, it was as if Cell had been completely obliterated—without even a trace of dust remaining.
Only when Gohan confirmed there was no trace of Cell's energy, and not even a speck of ash in the air, did he collapse to his knees.
His fists clenched against the ground, tears soaking the soil. "Trunks…"
"Gohan!" Trunks, seeing the final victory, rushed to Gohan's side, placing a hand on his shoulder.
"I'm not dead, Gohan! Lin Qi saved me!"
"Trunks…" Gohan's eyes were red. His face looked like it was caught between crying and laughing—twisted and unsightly.
Both of them exchanged strange expressions.
"You did it, Gohan! You beat Cell—we won!" Trunks was overjoyed. He helped Gohan to his feet, grinning from ear to ear.
"The Earth is safe now! Gohan, you can finally live out your dreams!"
Lin Qi landed not far from the two, squinting up at the sky as he watched them laugh and talk.
But just then, as Gohan and Trunks were about to walk over to Lin Qi, their smiles vanished in an instant.
"No… no way…" Trunks' expression twisted into horror.
Gohan looked equally stunned, gritting his teeth. "Cell!! His energy is even stronger than before… how?!"
"Damn it! With power like that, even I can't beat him!"
The thick clouds in the sky had already cleared away, revealing the dazzling sun overhead.
A black speck in the air rapidly descended, landing in front of the three.
Cell's body had completely regenerated, and now he was surrounded by crackling lightning. His smile was chilling, his voice crazed.
"I can't believe I actually survived…"
"And now, my speed… my strength… I'm on a whole different level…"
"This is incredible… those Saiyan cells really came in handy! Now, how should I thank you?"
"How about I send you all to hell?"
"This can't be… we completely destroyed you!" Gohan's forehead dripped with cold sweat.
They were no longer at full power—not even if Lin Qi gave them Senzu Beans…
They couldn't beat this version of Lightning Cell.
"Heh… looks like I got lucky. My core in my head wasn't destroyed!!"
Cell grinned with manic glee.
"Thanks to the Saiyan trait of massive power increases after near-death recovery, I've come back even stronger!!"
"I'm not just recovered—I'm more powerful than ever!"
"What do we do now, Gohan… are we really doomed?" Trunks' face was filled with despair.
"I hate how weak I am…" Gohan closed his eyes in hopelessness.
Just when the two were drowning in despair, Lin Qi's calm voice suddenly echoed in their ears.
"Destruction…"
A massive, overwhelming destructive energy began to shake the earth once again, even affecting the remaining human survivors in underground shelters.
Countless people fell to their knees, hands clasped together, praying desperately.
Nervousness, fear, anxiety, terror… consumed every heart.
"Defeat the android…"
"Let the world return to peace…"
BOOM
