Hearing that, Rael just snapped his fingers, shattering the time barrier that he had formed earlier.
The moment he did, a bunch of mana escaped, spreading throughout the whole throne room and alerting Victoria, who suddenly ran over.
Yet the moment she saw Astaroth, a surprised look appeared on her face.
"You did something...?"
"Indeed I did," Astaroth replied, puffing out his chest. "As a matter of fact, I actually managed to regain a decent chunk of my strength, muhahaha!"
"That's great and all... but I feel like your fate strings are a little unstable. Did you push yourself?" Victoria asked, worried.
A surprised look appeared on his face.
Even so, he shook his head and assured her everything was fine.
"Rael here helped me by freezing me in time. The fate strings or whatever you're talking about are going to reset to normal in a few minutes. Until then, may I indulge in some pleasant food, wife?"
She thought about it for a moment, then nodded.
"Give me a moment."
