"It looks like you scared her off," Rael remarked.
All the while, Nyx just stared at the spot where Rei had been a few moments ago before turning to Rael.
"I didn't expect that."
"You don't say..."
Nyx facepalmed.
"Stop being so sarcastic and focus. She ran away, so it's your turn to run."
Rael raised a brow.
"You think I'm going to run away after that interaction? I didn't think you two were that close, but if anything, it looks to me like you might be able to convince Rei to step out of her shell... Or something."
Nyx rolled her eyes.
"I knew you would say that. Still... I don't have any intentions of making her one of your allies. If I do convince her, I'm going to drag her far away so she wouldn't get caught up in all of this."
It seemed like she cared about Rei deeply.
Although he wasn't sure what kind of connection they had beyond what he had just heard, he was a little curious to find out.
