Her eyes suddenly widened. "Are you serious? Come on... he's dead. What's the point in killing me anymore?"
"So you expected to die to Rain, but not to me?" Rael mused. "You should've known it was coming after I heard about your past."
"Hey..." Maria narrowed her eyes. "I thought you loved me. I thought you'd see beyond my past. What even is the point in bringing it back? Do you think the world is the same?"

"Did they? Because, for your information, I'm not planning on dying here," Maria replied sternly. All of a sudden, Jane and Julian stepped forward, their eyes unfocused.
"If you try to kill me, then I won't hesitate to slash both their necks," she added coldly. "Tsk... if my skill wasn't on cooldown, then I wouldn't have to resort to this. It's your fault."
