Jane and Minos remained silent on the ground, their gazes lifeless.
Rael had spent little time and effort training them; instead, he pitted them against weak monsters with unique attack patterns.
Obviously, he took the ladder route.
Rat, skeleton, dragon.
They didn't literally fight a dragon though, only an oversized bat.
But as he glanced down at the two exhausted siblings, it looked like they might as well have fought a dragon.
Rael let out a sigh, taking a peek at the timer.

Still a bit of time left, he mused, crouching down beside them.
"Another bat is flying in, prepare to—"
Like seasoned veterans, the two siblings shot to their feet, one holding a staff, the other gripping a sword in one hand.
But once they realized no bat was in sight, they let out a relieved breath.
"Good." Rael nodded. "Now that you're all rested up, what do you say we start moving into the metro? Do you have any food?"
Jane shook her head. "Not enough to survive in there."
