"Have you ever wondered what your true favorite color is. Mine is red, cause every time I look at something with a red color, I can't control myself but smile."
"Speaking of which? Do you know who my favorite person is?"
A young girl with long black hair and a bright look on her face said while playing with a stick from a Sakura tree.
"What is my favorite color?"
"I don't know. I guess mine is also red."
A young boy with a bright smile replied as he picked up a pink ladybug that was near him.
"Then, who is your favorite person?" The girl asked again as she flashed a smile towards the boy.
"My favorite person is." As the boy was about to answer the girl's question, his head suddenly went blank and dark, then suddenly he woke up walking on a road with his friends.
"You don't know how to sing either." The boy said as he giggled. everything looked foggy, and there were some people behind them, and one of them looked like they were furious.
"So Yuuki, you know, I always wanted to ask you something ever since I saw you." A girl with short black hair walking right next to him asked.
"Huh?" The boy replied while he turned and looked at the girl, and then suddenly the girl started flashing and said, "It's nothing." Nervously as she looked away from the boy.
A moment later, the boy looked up with a face showcasing curiosity. Then he suddenly asked the girl. "Hey, by any chance did we meet somewhere a long time ago. I mean, seven years ago?" while scratching his chest.
The girl looked at the boy with a curious face, and as she was about to answer, blood was all over the place, and the boy, including everyone on the spot, froze with shock, as the girl who was walking next to the boy fell on the ground.
Just after the girls hit the ground, one of the people walking behind the boy called out loud. "Mio!" As they reached out their hand to the girl. The boy froze for a moment, and the next he forced himself to move, trying to check on the girl while blood covered his whole face, when suddenly he started hearing someone who sounded like they were not close, calling out, "Hajime!"
The boy didn't stop because he had the priority to check on the girl who was out on the group when the voice called out again. "Hajime!" And without knowing it, the boy replied to the voice, and in the blink of an eye, the boy saw something like a bullet coming in between his eyes, and a moment later, a young boy woke up, surprised and bumped his forehead on a girl's nose.
"Aaargh!" The girl groaned in pain as she touched her nose.
The boy thought to himself, not noticing the girl in front of him. "What was that about?"
The girl, still in pain, let out a small moan and grabbed the boy's attention.
"Rica! What are you doing in here?"
The girl didn't respond as she was still in pain, when suddenly her nose started bleeding.
BLINK!!
".... Are you feeling okay?" The boy asked with a confused face.
'The girl was trying to check on the boy since the boy had started talking in his sleep, and she was just worried about her friend's well-being.'
OPEN!!
"What's going on in here?"
Another girl who looked older but similar to the girl who had a bleeding nose asked. The boy hurriedly turned his head to look.
"Reiko.... It's you." The boy said as the girl named Rica tried to let go of her nose, when Reiko quickly noticed that she was bleeding.
"What happened to her?"
"Were you fighting again?"
Reiko said with a serious look on her face, while her right hand started growing blueish green.
"No! I just woke up and found her like that."
"And she isn't responding to any of my questions."
The boy said with a frustrated look on his face, while moving away bit by bit from Reiko.
'He knew that if he failed to explain exactly what happened, he was going to run laps around the village while Reiko watched him with a cup of water on her.'
"INTERNAL HEAL!!" Reiko called out while pressing her growing hand on Rica's nose. The light grew even brighter, filling the whole room, and from far outside the house, it looked like neon lights descending from the ground.
In an instant, the bleeding from Rica's nose stopped, and no trace of blood was left on her face. No, Reiko healed her without leaving any trace of any injury.
"What were you doing in here, Rica?" Reiko asked furiously as she grabbed Rica's ear.
"You're hurting me," Rico said nervously as she tried to remove Reiko's hand from her ear.
'Reiko and Rica are blood-related sisters who live on their own with no mother or father to speak of. At the time being, they are living with a young boy who is about the same age as Rica, because his mother Nanako left him to live there for a few weeks as she will be gone for a while.'
"Hajime, did your mother leave you with any kind of weapon?" Reiko asked while letting go of Rica's ear.
He was confused as he wondered why his mother would leave him with a weapon, and for what purpose.
"A weapon?"
Rica looked at Reiko with a complicated face while thinking that Reiko was asking Hajime for a weapon so that she could obscure her.
"No. I mean, I don't think so." Hajime replied while he turned and looked at Rica, who was busy staring at her sister with a sorry look.
"Why are you looking at me like that?" Reiko asked while she turned her head to face Rica, her face was still neutral, though.
"Oh no, was she going to dice Rica if mother had left me with a weapon?" Hajime thought to himself, thinking that it was good that he didn't have any weapon, as he too started staring at Reiko with an even more confused look on his face.
"You too, Hajime."
She noticed something in Hajime's eyes.
"Oh, it's not what you think. I only wanted to know if you had any weapons for your training today, that's all." Reiko said while turning around and heading towards the door.
"Training, what do you mean?" Hajime asked.
"Oh yeah, I forgot ya dossed off yesterday while she was explaining about the training thing yesterday," Rica said with a teasing smile on her face while looking at him.
"What's so funny?" he asked with one eyebrow up.
"Nothing, it's just funny seeing how you almost fell on your chair yesterday when you were sleeping." Rica teased.
"Oh yeah‼"
"You're forgetting how you almost blew your head off while trying to look cooler than me in front of that baby dragon."
The baby dragon, Rica's pet dragon, that looks almost like it's human, but with some scales on its skin, and Hajime is using it as an excuse to get back at Rica for what she is saying.
"But in the end, it still chose me." The boy rumbled as he smiled back at Rica.
"Enough, you two, and get ready for your training."
"Just know I'm not going to be easy on you."
Reiko said as she walked away from the room while Hajime and Rica were still looking at each other.
