Chapter 92 - New Army

After intense training sessions, Maos declared firmly: "They are ready." With Zeus's approval, he sent a select group on a crucial mission. Their objective was to confront a group of insurgents in a remote region of Africa, where Aldos Etron had failed to establish control due to his numerous other commitments.

"Attention! We are approaching the designated area," announced one of the young soldiers from inside a moving aircraft. He wore a black tactical military suit with golden stripes and a helmet that concealed his face. It was clear he was the leader of the expedition. In a room filled with monitors, located in an undisclosed location, Zeus, Maos, Lady, and Brenda watched intently as the youths deployed. From the sky, the leader and several companions, dressed similarly but wearing leaden demon-like masks, descended onto the battlefield.

Upon landing, they spotted several individuals attempting to force their way into a facility, weapons in hand. One of them held a Molotov cocktail, but every time he tried to light it, the fuse went out. Desperate, he didn't know what to do. An assistant to the insurgent leader approached, muttering disdainfully: "You're useless. Give me that thing; I'll show you how it's done." After snatching the bomb, he tried to light it with his cigar, but at that moment, his body burst into flames. Horrified, he ran aimlessly until he collapsed, the victim of a massive hole that opened in his stomach.

The remaining insurgents, paralyzed by fear, didn't know how to react when several figures with demon masks emerged from the shadows. With hands that seemed to contain fire, they melted the stomachs of those who dared to oppose them. The enemy opened fire, but their bullets proved useless. Out of nowhere, another masked figure appeared and, with precise movements, sliced through both the weapons and the arms of those wielding them.

"What are these things?" wondered the leader of the incursion as he managed to approach one of the enemies and knock him out. Upon lifting the mask, he discovered something surprising: it was a child. However, before he could process it, he felt a powerful impact on his chest. A metal rod pierced his heart, killing him instantly. Behind him, the young man with the helmet, concealing his face, manipulated the metal at will.

Swiftly, the invaders were neutralized. "Sir, we have concluded," the helmeted youth reported to Maos through the earpiece. "Excellent," Maos replied with satisfaction. "No casualties, Lord Zeus. What do you think?" Zeus smiled, pleased. "You've done very well, Maos. I always had faith in you. Moreover, adapting the army in such a short time is an impressive achievement." The other leaders, watching the transmission shared by Maos, applauded in fascination. "As you can see, with this army of super soldiers—or Metalux, as Laos Sr. called them—we will achieve our goal. Nothing will stand in our way," declared Zeus, delighted with the results.

"It's time to take it to the next level," Zeus continued. "Deploy the soldiers across all areas where we have operations and eliminate competition. That's an order." Maos nodded without hesitation. Meanwhile, Zeus asked Lady: "Are the super suits ready for this entire army?" She confirmed: "Yes, they're being mass-produced." Zeus smiled to himself, thinking: "Excellent. Everything is going according to plan, better than I expected. Soon, I will be the sovereign of the world."

In another location, at the agents' facility, Margaret expressed her disbelief: "I can't believe it's been over a week since we performed that psychic ritual." Mark, calmly, responded: "That's how time passes, ma'am." The other women present in the room protested: "It's not fair! We lost our day with Mark. Can we draw lots again?" Azulema, the leader, intervened: "I don't think it's necessary." Margaret, quickly calculating, pointed out: "But you also lost your turn." Azulema, tears welling up in her eyes, exclaimed: "Oh no! Let's just draw lots again."

Adia, the mage, became the target of criticism from the others: "This is all your fault!" Before they could continue, an alarm blared throughout the base: "All available special agents, please report immediately to the chief's office." Adia, seizing the distraction, quickly slipped away. "Hey, you can't leave without making up for costing us our turn with Marky!" the other women shouted. Azulema, trying to calm the tension, suggested: "Well, we'll just have to redraw the turns." The three girls who looked like triplets protested: "That's not fair. You said there would be no changes, and besides, today was our turn with him." Azulema, laughing, replied: "Well, I'm the boss, aren't I?" Ada, annoyed, retorted: "It's not fair to use your authority like that." Finally, they decided to gear up and head to the chief's office.

Meanwhile, in the area assigned to Team D, Gin and Dani arrived wearing new lab coats and badges identifying them as part of Unit O, supporting the technopaths. "That exam was tough, but we passed it, buddy," Dani commented. Both entered the unit where Becky was inspecting a defective robot. "Agent D-Twelve, we've brought one of the robots you reported as defective," Gin informed her. Becky used her ability to communicate with machines and discovered something alarming: "This robot was hacked. It went from an advanced level to a hidden level that increased its power." Dani, confused, asked: "Hacked? How is that possible?" Becky explained: "Someone interfered with its programming. It could have killed the cadets."

"No, thanks to a great element, everyone came out unscathed," Dani replied. "A great element? What was it?" Becky asked. "It was Podbe, the dog," Gin answered. Becky, surprised, exclaimed: "A dog did this? I never thought I'd see an animal with enough strength to destroy these machines created by our chief, Adrian." Both nodded: "Podbe is a superdog and the best."

Before Becky could investigate further, the alarm sounded again. She quickly said her goodbyes, not without first asking Gin and Dani to find out who had hacked the machines. As she walked down one of the hallways, she crossed paths with Agent I-Five, who raised his hand and tried to laugh in a strange manner. Becky thought: "How odd, he doesn't usually act like that," but she didn't give it much thought due to the urgency of the situation.

In the chief's office, Brea was thrilled to see her team, especially Mark. Also present in the room were Ezequiel, Gat, Ray (a man with a sword on his back), Adrian, Becky, Adia, and other agents. The chief interrupted the lighthearted conversation with grave news: "We have serious problems. This is no longer just about saving young Aiden. This criminal organization has created more Metalux under their command, and they are beginning to seize control of territories. We must recruit them if possible or neutralize them. We cannot allow this to escalate globally. Our mission is to prevent any confrontation that could jeopardize world peace."

Gat asked: "What powers do they have?" The chief replied: "We don't know much, but it seems they are similar to some of yours. They use them openly, eliminating their adversaries without mercy." Adia, incredulous, insisted: "Perhaps they're under some kind of enchantment." The chief shook his head: "We can't take that risk. Azulema and her team will investigate if something is controlling them." Adrian suggested: "We could use tranquilizer weapons to capture one and examine him."

Finally, White spoke up: "We will divide into groups to address this global threat. I'll go with Podbe; perhaps he can use his connection with Aiden to locate him. Marie, you stay here to monitor and update us on any developments." Everyone nodded and dispersed to their respective destinations.
