Inside her mind, Penny's fury roared like a thousand angry cats. But against Violetta's calm presence, it was more like a soaked kitten's yowl to a gentle tiger's purr.
'Hehe~' Violetta's voice echoed softly, amused and warm. 'I thought you'd find it out sooner, but you're just too adorable, rushing into things.'
Penny clenched her teeth, refusing to admit she hadn't really figured it out at the time.
Violetta's tone softened with affection. 'It's okay. I'm happy to have you as my kin, even if you're stubborn.'
Despite herself, Penny felt a small warmth bloom inside. No matter how much she raged, this was a connection she couldn't deny.
