The originally smooth as a mirror latex paint wall felt as rough as 800-grit sandpaper.
"Do they want to evolve me into a gecko?"

He attempted to simply grip the wall with both hands, mimicking a gecko by slowly crawling upward.
However, as soon as he exerted some force, his body was slightly lifted by less than a centimeter.
