"But she hasn't forfeited." In response, Max tightened his grip against Akira's fierce resistance.
Hearing Max's refusal, Instructor Ren's face became slightly ugly as he turned to Miss May hoping she would save him some face.
Astounded by Max's performance, Miss May's expression faltered, then turned solemn, staying silent for a moment before uttering a word that disappointed the Elites.
"It's okay Max, you've proven your skills, let her go." She spoke coldly, ignoring the disappointed look from the Elites.
