In response to Max's words, the Provost slightly raised one of her brows and drew her shoulders back to take in Max's physical details from a farther angle.
'Has he gone insane?'
Finding no abnormalities, she kept quiet for about three seconds.
"...Changed your mind?"
Seemingly confused by this, she urged him to go on.
At which Max's smile became more villainous.
"Yes." Max responded and further continued.
"...Let's start all over. Instead of her, I want you."
He pointed at the nude lady, then glanced back at the Provost's flushed cheeks—not of shyness but humiliation and suppressed fury.
"Surely you jest, Mr. Rider?"
Barely restraining her emotions at this point, the Provost took deep breaths several times, the glint in her eyes dangerously focused on him.
"No, I don't."
Max smiled, simply dismissing the threatening glints in her eyes.
Seeing this, the Provost appeared stumped and too lost for words to reply.
