"This way, please," one of the four girls in the staff uniform interrupted Arabel from her thoughts. She led her to a door leading to a dark room.
Arabel glanced at the dark space inside the room and turned to the girl who was smiling at her professionally.
"Please come in," the girl said.
Arabel, with some hesitation, stepped inside.
As soon as she crossed the threshold, the door disappeared behind her, and she found herself in pitch darkness.
Startled, Arabel stepped back, but immediately a round ripple of light appeared under her feet, like a wave that illuminated everything around her and slowly faded away, disappearing.
While Arabel was mesmerized by the light, a fire lit up in the distance, attracting her attention.
When the wave of light completely disappeared, Arabel took a step forward, and once again, round ripples appeared under her feet, as if she had stepped on water.
