I waited a solid minute after Lucian left, making sure no one saw me coming out of that damn bathroom. If anyone caught us, I was screwed. No questions asked. One misstep, and my reputation-if I had any left, my entire life at this damn summit, would go down in flames.
Finally, I managed to blend back into the shadows, slipping past the hallways like a shadow. And of course, I bumped into a servant, because why wouldn't I? As if this whole mess wasn't enough already. But at least the servant didn't seem to care. They just gave me some half-assed warning that all students were required to attend the last banquet. Oh, joy. The last day of the summit. Thank God. If I had to spend one more minute in this hellhole, pretending everything was fine, I was going to lose my mind.
