Following Oxhead and Horseface's struggle, Shen Moulin was once again escorted back to the Underworld; unlike his previous journeys, this time his spirit truly returned to the Underworld, and henceforth he was no longer under the jurisdiction of the Mortal world.
Here, an ironic incident must be mentioned — just as Shen Moulin's spirit returned to the Underworld, his nephew also died from a disease.

Thus they were reunited in the Underworld.
Seeing his elder brother's face full of sorrow, and his nephew, pale and ethereal, Shen Moulin had never hated himself as much as he did today.
To indulge a child is akin to killing a child.
Why had he never understood this principle before? Had he exerted even a bit more restraint, his nephew, his brother's only son, might not have died young.
