Chapter 9 - The Months pass

John has been training me for the duration of the time I have left. Also, informing me of how I'm going to be traveling through time and showed me the area where I will be going to… time travel. World War II. That's the time I'll be going to.

Mission that John told me I have to find out what happened to Hitler, weird for me to do though, considering I'm not even full term military trained( the full four years). Why send me just a guy that sold drugs of the street of Billings, Montana.

Not going alone though, the people in charge probably wanted to make this a fun group project. As if we would not be going to war. Something that made many people off themselves, gave people PTSD(Post Traumatic Stress Disorder). High- ups are also probably mentally insane people as well. People that they made come along aren't even good for this job.

First of all I'm here, a black African-American sending me is going to be stupid. A Damn Ch*nk and an American that is still a descendant from German because He has Blue eyes and Blonde hair, dyed black. He also looks like a twink, so I'm sending him to the first gay guy if the situation ever needs it.

Currently I'm following John to the training room or whatever. Really just a big ass gym. For months that I have been here I have been training with John. Teaching me multiple martial arts and how to counter attack against them. Though learning multiple different techniques and training against them is difficult. Even in my free time I'm visually training. There was this one time, I got caught in an arm bar, bastard fully pulled my arm. Felt like it was just going to fly out the socket then he let go.

That was the very first time he started training me and it was in jujitsu. Hate that martial arts style of fighting. A friend once said to me that it was gay cause of the way you have to fight and how you have to do anything to win in those situations. I always believed that so I just ignored anything that had to do with one dude having to get on top of another dude, especially jujitsu… and s*x.

"Keith!"

We are just exiting the bright hallway leaving the white, bright, light entering another, room with white, bright, lights. Entering the room you would see some dumbbells on the ground and some benches. Different kinds for different exercises. They all littered around the ground of the gym. Some punching bags in the corner of the room toward the west side of the room and in nearing the east side is the speed bags. Now, in the middle is the main event a giant boxing ring. The place where John first got me into an armband.

"Get into the ring!"

John's in the ring already. He's wearing his judo gi. One he always wear when 'training'. Arms over the rope as if he is relaxing before he repeats the cycle of beating my ass. Been like this for the months he has been "Training me" . He shows me a move and nearly takes a limb off my body, then I practice it on him doesn't go well in my favor, somehow again he nearly takes a limb off. After we spar with everything he has taught me, beats me black and freakin' blue then tells me something like "The oceans blue because the sky is blue.", or some weird sh*t, then expects me to understand what that even meant.

"Keith! Into the ring!"

I got lost in thought again, damn.

I make my way toward the ring each step like a scared child. I'm now an inch away from it. Lifting my leg, I grab hold of the rope and pull myself up slowly, now my second leg is on the ring. I drag my body up leaving me standing. Heart is now beating faster and faster.

"Keith, this is the last time I'm going to train you."

He's on the opposite side of the ring, on the inside of the ropes. While I'm still on the outside 'relaxing' on the ropes.

"Yeah I know. Today is the last day before I go into the Project room."

Project room. Ms. Rose has been calling it that and it has stuck. That's supposedly where I will be taking place in the 'experiment'.

"I want you to fight with everything you know. Everything I taught you. This is the last time you will ever have to beat me. Not once have you did it before this will now show how much you learned and if what I taught you will even be of any use to you."

Lifting up the ropes, I step through entering the ring. Now, hearing what's happening in my chest. My heart loud beating. As if it's a drum. A double beated bass drum.

John walks around the outside of the ring toward the edge and picks up a clock. I never even notice it. Wooden clock. Wooden all around and lines of silver overlapping it. Turning the clock, I could hear clicks.

"I'm set this up for five minutes. In that time me or you will have to tap out or we run out of time. You, understand?"

I nod my head in acknowledgment. Gust of air leaves me nose.

Click…

Each click…

Click…

Signal the beginning of…

Click…

The hardest fight for me.

Click.

The hand can no longer turn. Trying once more to see if it true. He drops it and tap the side.

Clock is now visually moving it and signaling the start of the fight. Like a red flare being shot up into the sky to signal a push on the field where your horses shall advance or a gunshot to tell the runner to begin running(That's a big jump in thought).

I push myself off the ground. Practically flying toward him. Back is still toward me. Cutting the distance between us. Pulling myself toward his side of the ring. I get to him and I lower my body and plant my hands into the ground, turning to keep up my momentum and throw my legs toward John. It feels like time is slowing down. Like I'm the only person to be able to move. I look toward the end of the ring on the opposite side the still benches. Now I look down supposedly, toward my feet, now past them looking at John, his back really. He standing there body still facing the clock on the ground. Not expecting me to hit him when he's vulnerable.

My feet extended out, leading the charge of my body. My hand grip the ground not letting up. Slowly feel the soles of my feet touch his back. I blinked, my heart pounds. I can hear it inside my head. Opening my eye, I feel his body turn. He countered me.

His forearm pushed the trajectory of my legs off toward the left side of the ring. Making me go flying, letting my grip brake of the rings flooring. I turn my body to break the fall and to make me get back into fighting him quickly. Just as I kneel to pick myself up he stops me.

"Keith you didn't even take off your shoes."

He telling the truth I enter the ring with dobok. I took training for Teakwondo a year back but quit before selling. Decided now is the best time to try it on again. When I was changing I never thought to take off my shoes.

Still kneeling down, I reach for my shoe laces to untie my shoes. Not before I hear stomping and the ring shaking. I look up and I see a leg fly toward my face. I throw my arms up in a sloppy way to defend myself. A clean hit, John's leg pushed me off my knees into the air letting me go flying into the ropes.

He stands there victorious and straight. Putting his arms on his waist. Smile now growing big on his face.

"Now we are even."

'This b*stard is going to land in me into a hospital.'
