Arriving once again in the modern other world.
Senju Wakama's landing spot was the same as last time: a high-rise building by the sea.
Below was a software company's office building.
Brother Zetsu said that another of his vassals worked in this company as a programmer, developing games.
That person was also an individual extracted from a parallel ninja world, but he didn't need to have any contact with Senju Wakama, so there was no need for an introduction.
To the side of the office building was a rather nice hotel.
Senju Wakama checked in right away. The price wasn't cheap; a single night at the seaside hotel cost 2000 yuan in this world's Huaguo currency.
Fortunately, Brother Zetsu had handled the money, so Senju Wakama could use it freely.
After checking in, Senju Wakama went for another stroll through the night market. He wore a mask and casual clothes, wandering aimlessly with his phone in hand.
While scrolling through short videos, Senju Wakama actually came across a story about his own heroic deed. Looking at the date, he realized half a month had already passed in this world.
The whole world was looking for the "heroic young man."
Senju Wakama casually opened the comment section below.
Senju Wakama had already seen what this world's short videos were like. There were all sorts of truly bizarre people.
Some people just uploaded simple clips of their daily lives, only to be viciously flamed by a group of strange viewers at the slightest misstep.
This was something never seen in the "simple" yet cruel ninja world.
One creator just shared a video of celebrating an elder's birthday, and the comments were filled with people cursing the old person, wishing for their early death and reincarnation.
Another creator simply shared that they got to eat their favorite fruit today, only to be mocked by a crowd in the comment section.
Insults as poetic as they were vicious were the most common form of internet slang in this country that used Hanzi.
If one were to use explicit curse words, the comment would likely be deleted by the platform's moderation for "uncivilized language."
Therefore, these internet trolls and keyboard saints were extremely meticulous with their wording, ensuring on one hand that the moderation AI wouldn't find any keywords for "profanity," and on the other hand ensuring that the creator reading the comments would be angered to death.
Senju Wakama was amazed. He felt he not only had to watch and learn more but also adapt, so he wouldn't be angered to death by such venomous words that contained no actual profanity.
Using these things to train his mental fortitude and his own linguistic abilities was an excellent method.
In addition, due to the explosion of information online, a great deal of knowledge could be found on the internet.
To the current Senju Wakama, the smartphone was a massive treasure trove.
Looking at himself in the short video, it must have been filmed by a bystander with their phone at the time.
Most of the comments below were positive.
A small portion were angrily blasting Senju Wakama for not killing the knife-wielding attacker, while others posted strange remarks, like how modern people don't casually draw knives unless forced to, and that the young man shouldn't have interfered.
All that could be said was that through this world's internet, Senju Wakama had come to understand the diversity of the human species.
How could people, all of them human, have so many different ways of thinking?
How depraved a person could be, and to what extent that depravity could reach.
Senju Wakama ignored the online calls to find the heroic young man.
Luckily, he was in the habit of wearing a mask whenever he went out.
If worst came to worst, he could still use the Transformation Jutsu and turn into Tamayo Nara or Aburame Aoi. No one would ever be able to find him.
He only came here at night to train and didn't want to get involved with too many people.
After buying something to eat, Senju Wakama returned to the hotel.
He ate his late-night snack and then went to sleep.
After waking up, he checked out, opened the passage back to the ninja world, and returned.
That's right, he just came to the other world to get some sleep and casually browse videos for entertainment.
When he returned to the ninja world, Senju Wakama was once again full of energy. The sky had not yet brightened; not much time had passed at all.
He was crouching in the shadows again, and his surroundings were basically unchanged.
After returning, Senju Wakama once again used his stealth posture to quickly get back to his room.
Tamayo Nara and Aburame Aoi were still asleep there.
Senju Wakama turned on a lamp in the living room, took out his textbooks again, and continued his self-study.
He thought to himself, I hope the ninja village gets established soon, and they hurry up and build all the infrastructure.
After visiting the modern other world, nothing in the ninja world looked right to him anymore.
Tamayo Nara woke up in the middle of the night. At first, she was a little dazed. As her memories returned, she remembered she was still at Senju Wakama's place. Seeing Aburame Aoi sleeping beside her, she understood the situation.
However, with both of them sleeping here and the sky outside already pitch black, Senju Wakama was nowhere to be found.
Was he... disgusted with them?
A pang of sadness hit Tamayo Nara. She got up quietly. Seeing the bright yellow light coming from beyond the open door, she subconsciously walked towards it.
There, she saw Senju Wakama's straight back standing in the lamplight. He was holding a book and some scrap paper, writing and drawing.
Tamayo Nara silently watched this scene, momentarily at a loss for words.
Perhaps Senju Wakama wasn't disgusted with them; he just hadn't gone to sleep yet.
Tamayo Nara had no idea if Senju Wakama had slept earlier. She had been too tired.
But recalling how Senju Wakama had woken them for lunch and dinner, letting them eat before going back to sleep, her heart softened again.
To say Senju Wakama was cruel... he really was cruel, wanting to sleep with both of them at once, the very picture of greed. But after it had actually happened, Tamayo Nara felt it was only natural. Senju Wakama was too powerful for any ordinary girl to handle.
What Tamayo Nara had been thinking at the time was whether she could get two more "sisters" to help her share the burden of Senju Wakama; she couldn't take it all on her own.
And now, while she and Aburame Aoi were still sleeping, Senju Wakama was sitting outside alone, reading.
From a distance, she could see the pages were full of text, with illustrations of instruments she couldn't understand.
No matter how she looked at it, Senju Wakama wasn't reading some recreational book. It looked more like he was studying diligently on his own.
So powerful and outstanding, yet still working so hard.
No wonder Senju Wakama had said before that she wasn't worthy of him. A trace of inferiority welled up inside Tamayo Nara.
"...You're awake. Do you need some water? It's over there... help yourself."
Senju Wakama didn't turn around, but his words floated over lightly.
Tamayo Nara snapped out of her daze, nodded, and said, "Okay."
Tamayo Nara walked to the side. She had been with the Senju clan for a while and was familiar with how to use their plumbing and water supply equipment.
After pouring herself a glass of cold water, she walked over and sat down across from Senju Wakama.
Seeing her approach, Senju Wakama closed his book, looked up at her, and said, "You've slept for a whole day. You look much better."
A blush appeared on Tamayo Nara's cheeks. She said softly, "Thanks to you."
