Chapter 5 - Chapter 5 — The Gathering Storm

The Nine Realms trembled.

Hel's skies still burned with emerald fire, but its queen was no longer alone. Beside her throne now stood Raizel Odinson — the Chaos Dragon God — his mere presence bending the fabric of the underworld itself.

The souls of the dead kneeled instinctively, their spectral eyes glowing with reverence and fear. The balance between life and death had shifted, and even Yggdrasil — the World Tree — groaned in warning.

The Throne of Two Shadows

Hela sat upon her dark throne, the gleam of newfound power coursing through her veins. The chaotic flame that had merged with her essence pulsed in rhythm with her heart, and for the first time since Odin's betrayal, she felt alive.

Raizel stood before her, arms crossed, his golden eyes studying the waves of death energy swirling around the realm.

"You've stabilized the death currents," he noted, his tone calm, almost regal. "Good. Soon, Hel will answer only to you — and through you, to us."

Hela tilted her head, amused. "Us, hmm? You move fast, Chaos Dragon. We only just sealed our pact."

Raizel's lips curved into a faint smile. "When destiny aligns, there's no need for hesitation."

Her emerald eyes narrowed playfully. "Careful, Raizel. Speak like that too often and I might start believing you're the king you pretend not to be."

He met her gaze evenly. "I don't pretend, Hela. I am."

A spark of chaos and death flared between them — a silent acknowledgment of their shared hunger for power.

Yggdrasil Trembles

Far above, in the golden halls of Asgard, the All-Father stirred.

Odin's one eye glowed faintly as he felt the disturbance ripple through the realms. His ravens, Huginn and Muninn, screamed as they returned to their perches, wings crackling with ethereal energy.

"Hel trembles…" Odin murmured, gripping Gungnir tightly. "And something stirs beneath it — something older than gods."

From the shadows, a voice spoke — ancient and cruel.

"Your time wanes, All-Father. The chaos you buried will rise again. And when it does… the throne you stole will burn."

Odin's eye hardened. "Then let it come."

The Sorceress of Chaos

Meanwhile, on Earth, the crimson glow of chaos filled a darkened room.

Wanda Maximoff stood before a mirror, her reflection flickering between herself and something far more… primal. Her magic coiled like serpents around her fingers as she tried to focus on the pulse echoing through the cosmos.

"That energy…" she whispered. "It's… familiar. Like my chaos, but older. Wilder."

Her reflection spoke back — her own voice, but layered with a thousand whispers.

"His chaos calls to yours, Scarlet Witch. Two forces of creation and destruction… bound by fate."

Wanda frowned, unease twisting in her chest. "Who is he?"

"The one the gods fear," the reflection replied. "The one even death obeys."

Hel's War Council

Back in the underworld, Raizel stood before a grand table made of obsidian and soulstone. At his command, the floor split open, releasing waves of golden-black mist. Spectral warriors began to take shape — fallen Asgardians, ancient Valkyries, and demonic champions bound by chaos.

"These will be our vanguard," he declared. "The army of death reborn under the banner of chaos."

Hela smirked, leaning back in her throne. "My, my… raising an army already? Planning to conquer Asgard or something bigger?"

Raizel looked up, his expression unreadable. "Both."

Her eyes glimmered. "Ambitious."

He stepped closer, his aura brushing against hers like a storm against a hurricane. "We are not meant to rule pieces of creation, Hela. We are meant to remake it."

For the first time in eons, Hela's heart skipped a beat. There was no arrogance in his words — only absolute conviction.

"You speak as though even the Norns themselves would bow," she whispered.

Raizel smirked. "They will."

A Dragon's Vision

Later, alone in the quiet of the void, Raizel closed his eyes. The whispers of chaos spoke to him — ancient, cosmic voices from before time. The dragons of creation — beings lost beyond the veil — called out in fragments.

"The seal weakens…"

"The serpent coils beneath Midgard…"

"The daughter of chaos approaches…"

Raizel's eyes snapped open, glowing gold and black.

Wanda.

The name echoed in his mind — the Scarlet Witch, chaos incarnate. He could feel her magic brushing against his own, an invisible thread connecting two storms destined to collide.

"She's awakening…" he murmured. "Good."

End Scene: The Scarlet Thread

In her chamber, Wanda gasped as a vision flashed before her eyes — a dragon of pure chaos, wings spanning galaxies, eyes burning brighter than suns. Behind it, a woman of death and darkness stood beside the dragon, her gaze unflinching.

Wanda's breath trembled. "What are you…?"

And somewhere, across the fabric of reality, a deep, resonant voice whispered through her mind — smooth, commanding, and dangerously enticing.

> "Soon, Scarlet Witch. The chaos within you will answer my call."

Her eyes widened in shock — and something inside her answered.

Crimson light erupted from her palms.

The storm had begun.
