The masked man, witnessing Ho-Oh succumbing to the poison, was caught off guard but quickly shifted to a more serious demeanor.

Terrifying snowstorms erupted from Delibird's attack. Just then, Ash's Charizard X gallantly soared in, landing a Fire Punch on Delibird. Meanwhile, a Mega Beedrill, which had appeared by surprise, injected its venomous stinger into Delibird.
"When did they..."
The masked man hadn't anticipated that Charizard and Beedrill would suddenly strike his Delibird, and the swiftness of their appearance left him bewildered.
In truth, Charizard's and Beedrill's unexpected arrival was the result of Sabrina and Gardevoir combining their psychic abilities to teleport them to Delibird's side, which explained why they targeted Delibird specifically.
After concluding their psychic maneuver, both Sabrina and Gardevoir felt a bit dizzy. Ash, quick on his feet, caught both of them.
"Sorry, that's the best I could do. There's a strange barrier surrounding the masked man; my teleportation was maxed out."
"Gardevoir... sorry, my dear..."
"It's alright, you did plenty."
After reassuring Sabrina and Gardevoir, Ash turned his attention to Delibird, plummeting from the air, and shouted to Nidoking, Nidoqueen, and Bastiodon, "Use Double Earthquake! Bastiodon, follow up with Heavy Slam!"

With a powerful roar, Nidoking and Nidoqueen struck the ground with their fists, causing tremors, while Bastiodon charged forth.

The gigantic stone swords shot up from the ground and struck Delibird with overwhelming force. Though Earthquake was a ground-type move, Delibird had no way of escape and was directly impacted by the coordinated attack of Nidoking and Nidoqueen. Just after absorbing the double force, Bastiodon roared and slammed into Delibird with an overwhelming impact.
Caught in the onslaught, Delibird, poisoned and utterly defeated, finally succumbed.
Meanwhile, Ho-Oh, also affected by the poison, struggled. Meowth took advantage of the distraction, launching a series of clawing strikes at Ho-Oh. To Meowth, it didn't matter that Ho-Oh was a legendary Pokémon; if Ash wanted to attack, then it would too!
In tandem with Meowth's relentless assaults, Absol continuously injected its venom into Ho-Oh, ensuring it remained poisoned.
The one most impressed by Absol's ability to poison a legendary Pokémon was Chad. After all, he had previously acquired a Toxic Orb from Ash.
"To think one could poison a deity... What powerful venom!"
As Chad marveled, Ash's Pikachu prepared itself. With a mighty leap into the air, it unleashed its most powerful move: Baoh Sakiruga!
As the colossal lightning dragon materialized from Pikachu's electric energy, it lunged at Ho-Oh, biting down fiercely.
Meanwhile, Meowth and Absol had already jumped onto Aerodactyl's back, retreating to safety.
"Wow!!!!"
The terrifying lightning ravaged Ho-Oh; yet, despite this punishment, Ho-Oh managed to resist. Pikachu understood that it was only a matter of time before Ho-Oh would break free from its clutches, but its mission had been achieved. Now was the time for others to shine.
"Now! Go, my hellhounds! Bite that deity!!!"
Pikachu had bought enough time—more than enough. Absol, Houndoom, and Arcanine had been waiting and were now channeling their energies, transforming into a fearsome hellhounds form, fixating on Ho-Oh in the sky.
Ash then announced the phrase they had all been anticipating.
"Cerberus Trio, evolve! Devouring Giant Wolf... Fenrir!"
"Awroooooo!!!!"
With an ancient wolf howl, the three hellhounds fused into a singular mighty wolf. This energy-infused giant wolf glanced at Ho-Oh, and a vicious glint shone in its eyes as it opened its monstrous jaws for the killing blow.
"Roar!!!!" *3
The amalgamated figure of Mega Absol, Mega Houndoom, and Arcanine leaped toward the sky, charging at Ho-Oh with malicious intent!
Crunch! Boom!!!!
As the god-slaying wolf sank its fangs into Ho-Oh, a massive explosion erupted in the sky. Amid the chaos, the masked man hastily erected icy barriers, and to Ash's surprise, a Snorlax emerged slowly from beneath his cloak, eyeing Ash and his team with curious intent.
Upon seeing the Snorlax, Ash froze for a moment. An unprecedented sense of danger washed over him—not jokingly, but a genuine warning. The threat was palpable, causing Ash to focus less on Ho-Oh.
"Zigzagoon, keep an eye on that Snorlax."
At that moment, Ash was unusually serious. Zigzagoon obediently jumped onto Ash's shoulder to watch the Snorlax closely.
Ash's tension went unnoticed by everyone except Sabrina and Blue, as they witnessed an unfathomable scene unfold before their eyes.
The god-slaying incident had indeed occurred!
That's right, Ho-Oh had been defeated. Under the power of a move called Fenrir, it was completely vanquished.
As the legendary Pokémon fell from the sky, everyone was rendered speechless. They realized that Ash, who referred to himself as Sebastian, had truly accomplished the impossible—sacrificing the divine to prove the strength of Dark-type Pokémon.
Even though the victory stemmed from the efforts of many other Pokémon as a foundation, they had done it: they had slain a god.
People were no longer in a state of astonishment; overwhelmed, they fell into silence. At that moment, they began to reflect deeply: was evil truly evil? They found themselves struggling to voice their thoughts, realizing how little they understood Dark-type Pokémon. Houndoom had willingly charged forward to shield Ash from Ho-Oh's Sacred Fire—could such a Pokémon really be as horrifying as they had believed?
