Chapter 246: Confronting the Kingslayer
Winterfell, Stark Lands
POV of Domeric Bolton
Not only Domeric's old world, but also the story of this world in which he resides, had been crafted in the same way in other worlds.
According to the information Domeric had obtained, this world was one of the rare world groups in the multiverse that had two Original Worlds.
For some reason, one of these Original Worlds hadn't fully completed its destiny line, and its construction seemed to be taking a considerable amount of time.
But he must have been lucky because Domeric was not in that Original World, but in the other Original World where his destiny line was completed.
Otherwise, Domeric would have far less knowledge of the future of this world.
Domeric closed his eyes for a moment and focused on the images that flashed through his mind. These images weren't ordinary images; they were images from this world's destiny line.
Although Domeric's arrival in this world had changed certain things, and he would continue to do so in the future, this information was still important to him.
Domeric watched as many images flashed through his mind, but the ones he focused most on were the scene after the King arrived at Winterfell to summon Eddard Stark to King's Landing as Hand of the King after the death of Jon Arryn.
Apparently, Bran's fall from the tower was due to the Kingslayer pushing him off after witnessing the Kingslayer and the Queen's inappropriate relationship.
But Bran finally waking up was a relief. Although Bran couldn't walk in the original destiny line, Domeric was determined to change that.
Domeric quietly watched other images flash before his eyes until Arya Stark killed the Night King with Littlefinger's Valyrian dagger.
Domeric wished the White Walkers were as weak in this world. But he knew that the current White Walkers had grown stronger by absorbing the excess death energy Lady Death had spread into this world.
That's why Lady Death asked Domeric to be her champion and solve this growing problem in this world.
After learning about the original story of this world, Domeric planned to check out the System's interface and new features when he arrived in his room. Still, his plans were disturbed again, this time when he ran across Jamie Lannister on his way back.
"Well, well, well… Look at what we have here." Jamie Lannister drawled as he stood in the middle of the corridor in a clear sign that Domeric won't be able to go past him unless he confronted the man right here and now.
Seeing the images of Bran Stark's fall from the tower and immediately confronting the perpetrator had soured Domeric's mood. One thing Domeric could not stand was people who abused children and showed no mercy to them.
"Looks like today's my lucky day. It's not every day a man sees a Kingslayer." Domeric said.
A quick legilimency probe revealed to him that Jamie Lannister found it suspicious that Tyrion had discovered his involvement with Tysha after returning from his lands and wanted to investigate it.
The Lannister ponce also didn't like it when he called him Kingslayer.
The man reminded him of Draco Malfoy—a Draco who was pretty good with a sword, but one who never managed to grow up.
Well... That would suit Domeric. Domeric knew that an answer to his demands wouldn't come immediately. Lord Stark and the King were sure to discuss for some time.
But it was unacceptable for Domeric to tolerate being kept waiting so long after his outburst against Lord Stark. And he couldn't return to Dreadfort without his answer.
Therefore, he needed to find another reason to extend his stay at Winterfell, and Jamie Lannister could give him one. It would also be a way to punish Jamie Lannister for what he had done to Bran Stark.
"A man? All I see is a boy in front of me." Jamie Lannister said.
"A boy who could cut you open from balls to brain in a moment if he so desired," Domeric replied.
Jamie chuckled at his words, and the chuckles quickly turned into full-blown laughter.
"You… defeat me? There are only a handful of men in the 7 Kingdoms who could give me a fair fight. Only one who could defeat me. That man is not you." Then Jamie's hand went to the hilt of his sword. "Though I can put your delusions to rest if that is what you want."
He looked at the sword on Jamie's belt and instantly recognized the hilt and the blade it was attached to. "You will be the one whose delusions will be shattered. Did Daddy Dearest give you the Valyrian sword I sold him? What was its name? A lion's cock?"
"Lion's claw," Jamie said with narrowed eyes.
"Ahh… yes, yes. That." He said and smirked at Jamie as his hand also reached for Excalibur's hilt, "Did Daddy Dearest give it to you for betraying your brother and making him leave the family?"
Jamie's anger spiked at his words, and he took out the blade from its sheath.
"If I were you, I would use my next words very carefully, boy," Jamie said.
"A boy. Yes. I suppose that is what I am. A boy who has taken his house to great prosperity. What have you done, Kingslayer? Become the guard of two kings, both of whom would be glad to piss on your face and shit on your mouth. I suppose that must seem quite an accomplishment to a man of your caliber."
Jamie's anger was escalating. "Not another word, boy. Or I'll flay you with the same sword you gave to my father."
"Will you?" he asked with a smirk. "Flaying. What a barbaric thing to do. But then again, lying to your own brother and making him watch the other men rape his wife, such a thing would not be below you."
"That's it. You're dead." Jamie snarled and brought his sword down on him.
And, in a flash, Domeric's sword was also out of its sheath.
