Chapter 362 - The Soul Stone

— — — — — —

"If that's all, I'll head out. Thanos is about to show up, and I need to get the Spirit Stone first. Maybe it can help you two."

Marvel Renzo stood up.

"Uh… bro, it's called the Soul Stone," Xiao Yan said. "Well, you've been sharing my memories a lot these days, so I can't entirely blame you."

Marvel Renzo froze, then calmly replied, "I said the Soul Stone. You just heard me wrong."

Xiao Yan: "…Whatever makes you happy, man."

"Anyway, it's finally time for the MCU's most popular films to happen!" Marvel Renzo said, looking hyped up.

There was no way he was going to let the events of Avengers: Infinity War and Avengers: Endgame play out exactly like in the original.

Actually, they couldn't—not with the way things stood. Of the six Infinity Stones, only the Soul Stone was genuine. The other five had already been swapped out for his bootleg versions.

They still packed a punch, but nowhere near enough for one snap to wipe out half the life in the universe. At best, Thanos could maybe cull half the life on Earth.

But thanks to his god-tier counterfeiting skills, as long as Thanos didn't go overboard using their power, he'd probably never notice the difference.

"Oh? We've already hit that point in the timeline? Then I wish you luck." Hermione looked interested.

"Luck? He doesn't even need it. He's already got five Stones in hand. Poor Thanos—he's definitely the unluckiest version of himself across the multiverse for running into you," Aizen chuckled.

"Still, he's bound to notice sooner or later. Those knock-offs have limited juice."

"Speaking of which, shouldn't the TVA try to arrest our dude here? "

"Yeah, or someone could just tell Thanos that even if he gets the Soul Stone, it's useless… then the guy would just retire and become a kind-hearted farmer somewhere."

Everyone was throwing in their two cents.

"I've got backup plans," Marvel Renzo said with a grin.

No way he was dumb enough to leave himself without a safety net. If Thanos decided to skip going after the Soul Stone… well, that'd be a disaster.

"Guess we'll see soon enough."

"Anyway, I'm out."

Marvel World

"Status report?"

Renzo instantly teleported to where Tony Stark and Doctor Strange were holding position.

"Took you long enough!" Strange let out a breath of relief the second Renzo appeared.

"We're doing… okay, I guess. But forget the small talk—lend us a hand with these two, will you? They're tougher than they look."

Strange tilted his chin toward the fight happening about ten meters away.

Ebony Maw and Cull Obsidian.

Cull wasn't the problem. It was Ebony Maw's telekinesis that countered him hard, making the fight especially tricky.

"Alright," Renzo nodded.

The moment Ebony Maw spotted Renzo suddenly appear, he looked a little surprised, but he wasn't here to exchange pleasantries.

"So, it's impossible to make you hand over the Time Stone willingly, is it? Fine then… we'll do this the hard way!"

Before he even finished, Cull Obsidian hefted a nearby car and hurled it straight at them.

Renzo casually waved his hand, swatting the vehicle away like it weighed nothing.

"Oh? Looks like you're no ordinary opponent," Ebony Maw remarked, raising a brow before moving his fingers.

Chunks of earth and stone erupted from the ground, quickly reshaping in midair under his control. In seconds, they were honed into sharp stone spikes, each one hard as steel, floating ominously in the air.

With a flick of his finger, they shot forward like arrows loosed from a bowstring.

A hum filled the air.

Before Tony or Strange could react, Renzo's own telekinesis stopped the spikes dead in their tracks.

"…Huh?" Ebony Maw froze, sensing the familiar energy. His pupils narrowed. "You have telekinesis too? And it's strong… Looks like I'll have to take this seriously."

"No," Renzo shook his head. "You won't get the chance. I'm done wasting time with you."

In a blink, he was right beside Ebony Maw.

"What—?!"

Ebony Maw tried to dodge, but to Renzo, his movements were like a snail's crawl.

"You can die now."

Renzo raised his hand, and from a distance, tapped a single point in the center of Ebony Maw's forehead.

A flash of golden light burst from his fingertip, piercing straight through Maw's skull.

"You…" was all the Squidward alien could gasp before his eyes went wide and he collapsed lifeless to the ground.

It happened so fast that even Cull Obsidian, not to mention Strange and Tony, didn't have time to process it.

"Goodbye!"

The instant Cull saw Maw drop dead, he didn't even think—he turned and bolted.

Despite his massive frame, his speed was surprisingly good.

Unfortunately for him, he was up against a Renzo.

With a deafening boom, Renzo closed the distance in an instant, appearing right above Cull and stomping down.

Cull's head slammed into the ground hard enough to shake the earth, leaving a deep crater.

Crack!

Without a word, Renzo crushed his skull underfoot, ending it in one clean move.

"…That's it? Seriously? That fast?" Tony stared, dumbfounded.

He and Strange had been struggling earlier, and now… just like that, both enemies were gone.

"Knew leaving it to you was the right call," Strange exhaled in relief.

"You've gotten arrogant," Renzo said, shaking his head in mild frustration. "I told you years ago—train, push your limits. But clearly, you didn't take me seriously."

That warning had been a long time ago.

Back then, some of them had even thought he was just being paranoid. But it seems he was right as always.
