"Dr. Carlos, can I have a word with you?" Dr. Morgan politely said, his voice barely above a whisper. The urgency in his gaze spoke volumes as they retreated to a secluded corner, shielded from prying ears and curious eyes.
"Mm," Carlos nodded, sensing the gravity of their conversation.
Once hidden from view, Dr. Morgan leaned closer, his voice quivering with the weight of his words.
"Listen, I know what I'm about to say may sound hypocritical, but I have no choice. Only the boy can save the mother! We have few minutes remaining; maybe it may not even reach a few minutes, before she dies."
Carlos's brow furrowed in disbelief. "He's just a minor," he replied, his voice low but firm.
Carlos wasn't happy with the whole situation at hand, while on the other hand, only one person would be their last hope and that's Elisa and Miguel's son, Theo, but unfortunately, he was still a little kid.
