Two Days Later...
Aaron was summoned to appear before the City Guard Commander and a council at the HQ. He didn't understand why he was summoned, by still he answered the summons.
He thought it might be associated with the man he stopped from completing the ritual. Though he had informed them what had happened, he skipped a lot, gave them some false scenarios.
"Maybe they felt that something was wrong with what I reported, and wanted to verify it again. Good thing I recorded what I informed them. As long as I recite that to them, I would be golden. Oh, yeah, I need to rearrange some sentences. Use different words than before to make it appear more genuine", Aaron thought to himself as he appeared at the HQ.
What he reported was not what happened. He altered a lot of details of what happened. It was only possible because he was alone with that man when that happened.
