Adreil, completely covered in dark energy, looked at Hella and Sentry with a maniacal grin.
"Okay, let's see how strong our heavy hitter is," Hella said, charging forward. "Sword Saint Style 1st Form, Verse 7: True Charge Slash!" She moved in a zigzag pattern while Sentry fired wind blasts from behind to keep Adreil occupied.
"We have been working out together to make a technique that will put us on your level, Adreil," Sentry called out.
Adreil drew his sword, covered it in dark energy, and easily slashed through the wind blasts. Hella reached him and slashed, but Adreil blocked it. Sentry attacked with more wind blasts, but Adreil put his hands forward and sent a dark energy pulse that destroyed the wind blasts and continued toward Sentry. Hella immediately stopped her attack and moved to help. Sentry created an earth wall. Hella used Sword Saint Style 1st Form, 5th Verse to slash the dark pulse and destroyed it. Adreil instantly appeared behind Hella, but Sentry, behind his earth wall, quickly raised another wall between Adreil and Hella, then leveled his own.
Adreil easily slashed through the earth wall. "He is more of a heavy hitter than we previously remembered him to be," Sentry muttered. "Hella, there is no other way. I am going to unleash it."
Hella reluctantly nodded. Sentry put his scepter back at his waist and said, "Let's fight a maniac with a maniac." Sentry took out his sword, his face instantly twisting into a maniacal expression, and he charged Adreil. Adreil met his sword, but Sentry easily blocked it, attacking back maniacally. "Sword Saint Style 1st Form, 6th Verse: Wild Slashes!" Sentry wildly slashed at Adreil from every angle. Adreil matched his slashes, both swords striking repeatedly, dark energy completely covering Adreil.
Hella went behind Adreil and struck, but Adreil sent dark pulses from all over his body, pushing Hella back. Hella stood her ground. "I might not have any extraordinary potential, but don't you think I can't keep up with any of you!" Hella's muscles stretched, and she broke the ground as she jumped and slashed at Adreil. Adreil, with all his power, pushed Sentry back for a moment to kill Hella, but Hella twisted her body, avoiding the attack, though she sustained a cut.
Sentry and Hella now sandwiched Adreil. Sentry slashed Adreil's back, and Hella slashed his chest, but a strong pulse of dark energy pushed them back. Sentry's sword dropped, turning him back to normal, and Hella crashed against a wall, coughing blood.
"Oh yeah, I forgot," Sentry said, seeing Adreil still standing with life-threatening wounds that were healing at an incredible speed due to the black energy. "Adreil can't feel pain."
Hella limped to Sentry's side. "How are we supposed to stop something that has lost its mind and can't even feel pain?"
Sentry got up. "The dark energy is making him do this. We just need to take out the dark energy. We need someone or something with holy magic."
They watched Adreil approach them with a prideful expression. "The person who can use holy magic is Ben, and he is currently busy, plus do you think Adreil would wait for us till we are done?" Hella noted.
"Nothing can be done. We have to save Adreil one way or another. We have to do something," Sentry decided. Hella sighed. Sentry took out his scepter. "We would have to lure him to that place, then. Are you with me?"
"But he is too fast; he can catch us before we run," Hella said.
"Attack his knees," Sentry commanded.
"Sure, let's show them what we are made up of," Hella replied, charging at Adreil to slash. "Sword Saint Style," she muttered, preparing her slash. Adreil prepared his own slash to cut her down. As Hella closed in, she said, "Form 1, Verse 6." Adreil slashed, but his attack was stopped by Sentry's wind blast, and Hella slashed at Adreil's legs, creating severe wounds that were healing very quickly, though they would still slow him for some time. Adreil was barely affected and slashed at Hella, who quickly backed down.
"Time to run away," Sentry said. They started running, but Adreil flew and landed right in front of them.
"Your plan was bad from the start, Sentry," Hella said.
Sentry looked around desperately. "Don't we have anything? Anything we can use?" Sentry spotted a nearby church with a holy krystallite attached to its top. "Hella, can you face Adreil for 5 minutes?"
"5 minutes? I can't even last for 3 minutes fighting him," Hella protested.
"Why are you complaining so much? You are a Nandaka disciple. Have some faith in yourself!" Before Hella could retort, Sentry created a wind bomb at his feet and jumped. "May the sword of Nandaka or whatever be with you, or something!"
"Hey! Don't leave me here!" Hella screamed. She got goosebumps as Adreil approached her with a smug expression. "Great. Adreil, who wasn't making a move up till now, has to make a move just now. Great, great."
Hella charged at Adreil, who readied his sword. Mid-charge, Hella changed direction sideways, preparing to run, but Adreil flew in front of her at astonishing speed and prepared to slash. She dodged, but Adreil charged and attacked. Hella tried to block Adreil's slash with her sword, but the sword broke from the intensity and power of Adreil's attack, and she had to jump back to survive.
Adreil, though slowed by the wounds in his legs, walked toward her with a smug expression. Hella, now afraid, gritted her teeth, a new ferocity in her eyes. "I might have my sword broken, but I am not broken! I am going to stand strong and defeat you, even if I have to use this broken sword! You hear me, Adreil?"
Adreil kept walking, and Hella charged with her broken sword. As Adreil prepared to kill Hella but Sentry, still far away, threw the holy krystallite at the center of the battlefield. It struck, weakening Adreil, and Hella pierced her broken sword into Adreil's stomach, then kicked him away. Hella grabbed the krystallite and placed it on Adreil. Adreil screamed as the dark energy resisted.
Sentry arrived. "Hella, give it to me!" Hella handed him the krystallite. Sentry realized the holy energy could only contain the dark energy temporarily. He looked at the Sin of Pride mark. "Hella, can this Sin of Pride mark act as a container for this dark energy?"
"It seems to be the reason the dark energy came in him in the first place, so it might be," Hella replied.
Sentry began guiding the dark energy's path to Adreil's Sin of Pride mark, and the mark started burning and shining red, and then contained all the dark energy. "We finally did it! Hurray!" Sentry cheered unenthusiastically.
"Hurray," Hella replied sarcastically.
Sentry asked, "Should we go to help others now?"
Hella said, "No, let them deal with it on their own. I have had enough of fighting."
A few minutes before Sentry and Hella fought Adreil, Lyla, with Tenko, stood in front of the 4 Heads.
"Does anyone want to back down?" Lyla asked. The Heads all acted smugly, and watching this, Lyla took out a brush and said, "Fine then, but don't complain that I did not warn you before, let's fight."
