Chapter 47: My Daily Routine: Eat, Sleep, and Play Games

As time passed day by day, the suspension finally came to an end.

Early the next morning, Kaname knocked on Ronan's door. Ronan, who had been sound asleep, quickly woke up and got dressed.

"Good morning, Aunt Kaname."

"Morning. Try not to get into fights at school from now on... though I know that's probably impossible."

"Don't say that. That time was a special case," Ronan said with a smile. "I've already handed in my reflection paper to the disciplinary office."

"Since the issue originated with Ogino, the school has decided not to pursue the matter further... though I think if they did, it might be the school that ends up in trouble."

At this, Kaname couldn't help but sigh.

She was well aware of Ronan's background. In all of Japan, she was probably the only one who could keep him in check, which was why this challenging task had fallen on her shoulders.

Fortunately, Ronan was relatively obedient when it came to her. As long as she stepped in, things wouldn't get too complicated.

However, there was one tricky aspect: Kaname was a teacher for the second-year students, while Ronan was in his first year. Being in different grades meant they rarely crossed paths, making it difficult for her to intervene promptly if something happened.

"Anyway... try to behave a little at school."

"Understood."

"Oh, and one more thing..."

Kaname glanced at Ronan's face and his golden hair, which was now almost shoulder-length.

"Don't you think it's time for a haircut?"

"Yeah, I think so too. I'll get it cut after school."

...

"Who's that girl?"

"She's so pretty~"

"But why is she wearing the boys' uniform?"

"It's a beautiful boy!"

"..."

As Ronan walked into the school, he was met with a flurry of whispers and murmurs. The comments reached his ears, making his temples throb with irritation.

He regretted it—he regretted not listening to Ishigami and getting his hair cut immediately. Maybe he should have just shaved it all off.

Ignoring the chatter, he walked expressionlessly into the classroom he hadn't set foot in for a month.

The class fell silent as they saw Ronan with his now-long hair. At first, they didn't recognize him, but once they saw his face, the room went quiet.

Sure, Ogino had been in the wrong, but Ronan had also broken someone's bones. The memory of that incident still lingered, and the class couldn't help but feel a sense of fear upon his return.

Ronan didn't pay it any mind. He hung his bag on the side of his desk and prepared for the day's lessons.

"Hey, Ronan, you're back."

"Yeah, Ishigami."

Ronan turned to see Ishigami greeting him. Just as he had expected, Ishigami had also neglected to get a haircut. His bangs now covered one of his eyes.

"So, how did the classmates react?"

"Worse than I expected. I mean, it's just long hair, right? But they can't even tell my gender now. Do they think everyone with long hair is a girl?"

"Who knows? But if someone has long hair and looks pretty, they'll probably assume it's a girl."

"Tch... That's just ridiculous."

As Ronan and Ishigami were talking, a soft female voice called out from behind.

"Ronan..."

"Huh?"

Ronan turned his head and saw Miko and Kobachi standing there with complicated expressions.

"Since you're back in class, there's something we need to tell you. You're no longer..."

"A member of the public moral committee, right?"

"...Yeah."

Miko nodded.

It was only natural. A public moral committee member who got into fights couldn't keep their position. Otherwise, the students would have a hard time accepting it.

Miko had tried to plead with the head of the public moral committee, but a fight was still a fight.

"Iino, from now on, maintaining the school's discipline will be up to you."

"Of course," Miko said earnestly. "I'll definitely get the school's discipline back on track!"

...

Although Ronan had been removed from the public moral committee, he hadn't been dismissed from the student council. He was still the treasurer.

"President, I'm back to report."

"Welcome back... By the way, Treasurer Ronan, what happened to your hair?"

Shirogane Miyuki was visibly taken aback by Ronan's now androgynous appearance due to his long hair.

"Don't even ask. President, do you have scissors? I need to fix my hair."

"Eh!!! That would be such a waste!!!"

Just as Shirogane opened a drawer to look for scissors, Chika suddenly jumped out and, with her usual familiarity, started ruffling Ronan's hair.

"This length is just perfect! It really brings out Ronan's beauty~" Fujiwara said with a grin. "Hehe~ A beautiful boy... I never noticed Ronan had such a great trait before."

"Stop talking about things that don't exist."

Ronan swatted Fujiwara's hand away in annoyance.

"Ara, Ronan, are you really going to change this hairstyle?" Shinomiya Kaguya, who was sipping tea on the sofa, smiled. "It really suits you, you know."

"Coming from you, that just makes me angry."

Ronan sat down nearby and asked Shirogane, who was working at his desk, "President, has the student council had any events recently?"

"No, not recently. I plan to suspend all student council activities for the next three days," Shirogane said.

"Huh? Why?"

"Because the midterm exams are in three days, and I don't want anyone's studies to be affected by student council work," Shirogane explained matter-of-factly.

"As expected of the president," Ronan praised. "Always looking out for your fellow council members."

"Of course."

This was a lie.

Shirogane Miyuki, at this moment, was only thinking about himself. Suspending activities was solely to secure more study time for himself.

As the student council president and the top-ranked student in his second year, Shirogane had no family background to rely on. His grades were his only asset, and he absolutely wouldn't allow anyone to threaten his position as the top student.

"But if you've been studying normally, the exams shouldn't be a problem, right?" Ronan said with a smile.

"That's what I think too," Shirogane chimed in. "So you all shouldn't cram at the last minute. I stopped studying a week ago. Suspending student council activities is for your sake."

Still a lie.

This man had been pulling all-nighters to study for the past two weeks. He was even willing to halt student council activities just to free up more time for his own review.

"By the way, Ronan, have you been studying during your suspension? Don't end up with 'red points' (failing grades)."

"Oh, I haven't studied at all. I've been playing *The Forest* with Ishigami at home every day."

This was the truth.

Ronan hadn't even taken his textbooks out of his bag since his suspension began. He had genuinely spent every day eating, sleeping, and playing games.
