He shot through the air like a bullet, the force of the impact sending his body spiraling into disorientation.
"Arrghhh!" Castan roared, forcing himself to steady midair.
A violent surge of aura burst from him like a shockwave, his hair standing on end, his eyes wide with fury.
"How dare you?!" he bellowed, his glare locking onto the ancestral beast.
The beast stared back, her massive brow furrowed in visible anger.
She pointed her enormous trunk at him with a slow, deliberate motion. The ground rumbled beneath her as three colossal branches shot forth like spears, tearing through the air toward him.
"A few decades without a master, and you've grown this defiant?" Castan snarled. "It seems your father failed to discipline you. Very well—I'll remind you why I am your master!"
He raised both hands, and the crown atop his head flared with power. Runes ignited in midair, encircling the beast like glowing sigils of restraint.
