Just as the Nine-Tails' Tailed Beast Ball was about to form, its expression suddenly became extremely pained. The pitch-black Tailed Beast Ball exploded instantly in its mouth. Then, after about a quarter-hour, it was as if some invisible force was tearing at the Nine-Tails - its massive body actually spun backward through the air.
The fleeing golden giant heard the commotion behind it, stopped, and looked back in confusion, comically scratching its head.
What the hell was that? Oh! Got it! Must be something big brother cooked up.
POOF!
A puff of white smoke dispersed, and Jinghang appeared precisely at the spot where Sasori had planted the kunai. He was covered in blood and reeked horribly.
"Cough! Cough! Cough!"
Jinghang couldn't help coughing several times.
Sasori thoughtfully handed over a water bottle. Without looking, Jinghang grabbed it, quickly unscrewed the cap, and started chugging.
PFFT! He spat it right back out.
Then he poured the water directly over his head.
"Jesus Christ, that stinks! Even a thousand years of constipation wouldn't smell this bad."
Jinghang dry-heaved in disgust, looking at Sasori, then at Yugito.
"I heard your Hidden Cloud Village's top fugitives, the Gold and Silver Brothers, once survived three days and nights inside the Nine-Tails by eating its flesh and blood?"
Yugito was stunned for a moment, then quickly answered,
"That's... that's right."
Jinghang shook his head.
"I really admire those two. How the hell did they stomach something so rank and disgusting!"
"Ah!"
Yugito gasped and covered her mouth.
"You... you, what did you... do in there?!"
Jinghang grinned wickedly.
"Nothing much. Just performed a little surgery on the Nine-Tails and disinfected it with a Rasen Shuriken while I was at it."
"Surgery?! What kind of surgery?!"
Yugito asked.
"Almost forgot."
Jinghang rummaged in his chest and pulled out a blood-soaked scroll.
"Here, take this. After the battle, send it back to the village and give it to your godmother for research. She'll love this thing."
"What is it?"
Sasori pinched his nose, holding the scroll with two fingers in disgust.
Jinghang wiped his hands on the hem of Sasori's robe.
"Good stuff! Half of the Nine-Tails' appendix - still warm!"
Yugito's brain completely crashed.
The Nine-Tails' appendix!
Let me get this straight...
The Nine-Tails swallowed Lord Wind Shadow, and Lord Wind Shadow cut out part of its appendix while inside its belly!
This... even those rough guys from Hidden Cloud probably couldn't pull off something this badass!
Meanwhile, the Two-Tails inside her was rolling around with laughter.
"He... he actually... actually cut out the Nine-Tails'... appendix! Oh man, I'm dying! I can mock it about this... for a thousand years... Oh no, I can't take it! Yugito, do you know... if Shukaku finds out... about this, it'll laugh itself... unconscious!"
Jinghang ignored their expressions, took off his robe, turned it inside out, and wiped the blood off his body.
"What time is it? The Nine-Tails' stomach acid wrecked my watch." (Lightning armor activated - immune to all poisons.)
Sasori checked his watch.
"It's 4:58 PM."
"Hmm, according to plan we need to mess with it for another 9 hours."
"Godfather, that's probably enough. The Nine-Tails is seriously injured now and probably unconscious. Look, it's just lying there motionless. I think we can start the sealing."
Sasori said.
Jinghang threw his robe on the ground and shook his head.
"It's not that simple. Injured, yes, but it hasn't lost its fighting ability yet. At least another day. We'll stick to the original plan - you guys prepare for sealing."
With that, he vanished from beside them with a Body Flicker.
When he reappeared, Jinghang was next to Rasa.
"Come on! Let's go check it out."
Jinghang patted Rasa's shoulder.
"Did you set off a Rasengan in its belly?"
Rasa asked.
"Duh!"
Jinghang replied.
"Did you leave a mark inside its stomach?"
"Duh!"
"Hehe, I knew it."
...
The golden giant stepped forward, first running to the large pile of iron sand.
Jinghang leaped down, and the iron giant quickly reassembled.
"Is it dead?"
The golden giant poked the Nine-Tails' head with its golden mace.
"Be careful, it might..."
Before he could finish, the Nine-Tails suddenly leaped up, swiping a claw at the golden giant's head.
This time the Nine-Tails learned - it didn't try to bite.
If that claw connected solidly, Rasa and his "control room" would probably be crushed together.
Fortunately, Jinghang was prepared and blocked with his three-pointed, double-edged blade.
Though the blade head was still broken by the Nine-Tails, that instant of delay gave Rasa time to react. The golden giant sat down hard and quickly backed away several steps, escaping the Nine-Tails' attack range.
Having lost Rasa as a target, the Nine-Tails quickly turned on Jinghang's iron giant, clawing frantically at the iron giant's head with both sharp claws.
Sparks flew everywhere, iron sand filled the air. The iron giant's head with its wild goose wing helmet was soon clawed to pieces by the Nine-Tails.
"Kill you! Kill you! Kill you!"
The Nine-Tails continued clawing tirelessly, the ear-splitting scraping sounds seeming to vent its infinite rage.
Only after the iron giant's head was clawed into an "iron pancake" did the Nine-Tails stop, panting heavily.
Then the iron giant shakily raised its right hand.
SMACK!
It delivered a powerful slap to the Nine-Tails.
The Nine-Tails slowly turned its head.
The "iron pancake" had somehow reformed into the helmeted head.
"I'll tear you apart."
Then it was another round of clawing.
This time the iron giant didn't indulge the Nine-Tails - it swung its thick iron arms and grabbed the Nine-Tails' neck in a death grip.
"ROAR!"
The Nine-Tails exerted tremendous force, its claws frantically scratching at the iron giant's arms. Soon it broke the arms, but then two more arms sprouted from the iron giant's sides, once again gripping the Nine-Tails' throat.
"Rasa!"
Jinghang shouted loudly.
"Coming!"
The golden giant leaped high, both golden maces falling on the Nine-Tails' head again.
"Kurama, forgot to mention - my control room isn't in the head anymore. It's in the chest."
Jinghang said smugly.
The Nine-Tails now felt dizzy and had no strength left to respond.
...
"Leader, from the looks of it, seems like we won't need to take the field!"
Aotu Tailuo muttered, watching the battlefield.
Pain remained completely unmoved, saying flatly,
"What time is it?"
Aotu Tailuo checked his watch.
"8:51 PM."
Pain asked again,
"Has Lord Wind Shadow given the signal?"
"Not yet."
"Mm."
Pain said nothing more.
Aotu Tailuo secretly stuck out his tongue.
Who would've thought Pain would follow Lord Wind Shadow's orders even more thoroughly than me now.
