"What the hell did that Sasori kid design?"
Jinghang frowned. Though he was the "Pioneer Mentor" revered by the puppet masters of Sunagakure, different trades were like different mountains - he truly knew nothing about the specifics of puppet construction.
"I know a bit about this. I think it's called some kind of destruction system."
Rasa said.
"What! Destruction system! Playing that crazy?!"
Jinghang was somewhat surprised.
Rasa shrugged.
"Actually it's not that bad... just... kinda expensive."
...
The Howling Sky puppet's body began shaking violently. Its four legs slowly retracted into its body. Iron wings suddenly extended from its back.
Inside Howling Sky's control room, red lights were flashing and alarms blaring. The display screen showed a giant number "10" which then changed to "9."
Sasori caressed the control panel, his eyes full of sadness as he murmured,
"Sorry, Howling Sky."
Howling Sky was the first anti-tailed beast puppet Sasori had poured countless efforts into creating. From blueprint design to parts processing to final assembly, even test drives - he'd done everything personally. In his heart, it was no longer just a pile of cold metal, but more like a comrade and partner fighting alongside him.
Sasori thought for a moment and quickly removed a control lever.
"Next time you'll be stronger!"
After saying this, he pressed the yellow button on his seat.
Four black straps suddenly extended from the seat, binding Sasori tightly. At the same time, the hatch above opened, revealing a well-sized view of the starry sky. Flames rose from beneath the seat.
Sasori gritted his teeth and roared,
"Attack, Howling Sky!"
With that, the seat ejected Sasori through the hatch. The number on the display had changed to "3."
...
"Get out of the way!"
Sasori, now airborne, screamed at the top of his lungs while setting off a red flare.
The Two-Tails Matatabi immediately dodged to the side - this was a signal Sasori had arranged with Yugito beforehand.
Blazing flames erupted from Howling Sky's wings. Its massive body became like a giant lit firecracker, shrieking shrilly as it flew straight toward the Nine-Tails, which had charged up a full Tailed Beast Ball.
"ROAR!"
The pitch-black, massive Tailed Beast Ball collided head-on with the charging Howling Sky.
Like detonating a small nuclear bomb out of thin air, a mushroom cloud rose up.
In an instant, massive shockwaves swept across a ten-mile radius like an iron broom. Sand and stones flew everywhere, like a sandstorm had started. Jinghang, Rasa and the others all hid behind rocks. Only Pain stood alone facing the fierce wind, his red cloud robe flapping loudly in the gale.
"Boss, is he always this badass? Isn't he afraid of getting blown away? What about sand getting in his eyes?"
Rasa looked at Pain in the wind.
Jinghang just smiled dismissively.
"Him? There's probably no pain left in this world that could move him."
...
That massive Tailed Beast Ball had consumed quite a bit of the Nine-Tails' chakra. Even someone as powerful as the Nine-Tails couldn't help but pant a little.
The Nine-Tails proudly surveyed the battlefield, which had been leveled to the ground. Besides the panting Two-Tails Matatabi, only scattered mechanical parts remained.
"Hahaha! Matatabi, want more?!"
Matatabi wanted to stick her neck out defiantly, but after nearly a full night of battle with the Nine-Tails, her chakra was basically depleted. The blue flames on her body grew smaller and smaller, her form gradually collapsed, and she finally transformed back into Yugito.
Yugito could barely stand, swaying unsteadily - her physical strength had reached its limit.
Just as she was about to collapse, a strong arm supported her waist.
Yugito turned to see a handsome face.
"Are you okay?"
Yugito asked with rare concern.
"I'm fine. You worked hard. Here, drink this."
Sasori smiled slightly and pulled out a small transparent medicine bottle.
The Nine-Tails paid no attention to the young couple's flirting. In its view, these star-crossed lovers were just a matter of one swipe. It excitedly howled at the sky.
"Who else!"
"Me!"
"Huh?!"
The Nine-Tails looked closely and somehow two small figures had appeared before it.
One had long blue hair, the other short red hair.
"Hahahaha!"
The Nine-Tails let out a manic, contemptuous laugh.
"Mere humans dare to think they can defeat me!"
Jinghang was completely unfazed by the Nine-Tails' mockery, retorting with full vigor.
"Look at you showing off, you stinking fox! Did you forget your own name? What, haven't you been beaten up by humans before?!"
"Grr!"
The Nine-Tails' brows furrowed in rage. Being defeated by Hashirama Senju, Madara Uchiha, Mito Uzumaki... and others was the greatest shame of this proud tailed beast's life. Being reminded of it now, how could it not be furious?
"I'll tear you apart!"
It swiped a claw at the two.
Jinghang and Rasa immediately leaped away.
"Magnet Release: Gundam Technique!"
"Magnet Release: Golden Man Technique!"
Two giants, one iron and one gold, appeared on the flat ground.
The iron giant stood twelve zhang tall, wearing a wild goose wing helmet and beast-faced armor, wielding a three-pointed, double-edged blade - murderous and imposing.
The golden giant was also twelve zhang tall, wearing a prince's helmet and chain mail, holding two four-sided golden maces - gleaming and regal.
"How does your golden man look bigger than mine? Though you're the Kazekage's aide, as Kazekage I still need to remind you not to stumble on financial issues."
Jinghang examined Rasa's golden figure and couldn't help but warn him.
"Big brother, don't worry. Part of this gold sand I mined myself in my spare time, and part I bought with my own salary. I absolutely didn't use a single cent of the village's money."
Rasa quickly explained.
"Hmph! Correct it if you're guilty, take it as encouragement if not. When I first taught you Magnet Release, I told you this Gold Sand technique - expensive materials, soft components, too costly. Have you been spending all your salary on this these past years?!"
Jinghang lectured like an older brother.
Rasa scratched his head embarrassedly and said nothing.
"You're a married man now. Are you planning to make Karura drink the northwest wind with you? Here's what we'll do - starting next month, I'll give your salary, bonuses, and dividends directly to Karura!"
"Come on, big brother, leave me a little! I still need to eat!"
"Isn't the cafeteria food good? You can eat till you're stuffed!"
"I need a little for social obligations!"
"Bullshit! You clearly haven't grasped the recent policy documents - strictly forbid banquets! Crack down hard on wining and dining! Did you study that? Did you take notes? Did you write your reflections? Is this how you lead by example?"
...
The Nine-Tails was completely dumbfounded. Hey! Are you pretending I don't exist? Right in front of me... you're having an argument?!
Just as it was about to speak up in rebuke, a swift wind struck directly at the Nine-Tails' neck.
The Nine-Tails was stunned.
Damn! You can play it like this!
The Nine-Tails reacted quickly, jerking back sharply. Its neck barely dodged the iron giant's blade. But then two golden maces came crashing down from above, landing squarely on the Nine-Tails' crown.
