Chapter 42 - 42. Eryndor in Love

Eryndor came back to Ravenshire after finishing his journey, and he threw a 100 gold coins at Ogre Xora. Xora tried to say it was too much, but Eryndor told him to keep it, feeling generous that day.

Meanwhile, Noir came inside the Demoness's room through the window. Vylonia welcomed her familiar and Noir started telling her the events that unfolded. Eryndor and the group were tired of the events and went to their room to sleep. Lich Xaren was taken by Krog to his room.

After ten hours of rest, Eryndor was now fresh, and he had a warm bath. He recalled all the things he did the previous day, including turning Lich Xaren into his slave, looting a lot of treasures, and completing the first level of Divine Immortal Body. For now, he was content. He also had a beautiful dream about a certain someone.

"Well, it's not like Sophia was my girlfriend, she was my crush at the most, but her... hehe, I think I should try my chance with her," Eryndor said to himself, his lips wide from ear to ear.

The toad popped out and said, "Boss, you should really stop taking her lightly. If I were to compare between you and her, well... you're not even qualified to pick her shoes."

Eryndor shouted, "Shaddup, how dare you belittle this great self?"

The toad remained calm and said, "I'm just telling the truth, Boss."

Eryndor ordered the fairy, "Where's the fairy? Tell her to remove your earthworm-like curse off her."

The fairy popped out and asked, "Are you sure?"

Eryndor replied, giggling, "Yess! I'm pretty sure."

The fairy looked at Eryndor like she was looking at an idiot. Eryndor felt her cold judging gaze and said, "Stop judging me, I know she's a good demon."

The fairy said, "Fine... Have it your way, but remember, once the curse is removed, you won't have any way to track her."

Eryndor stayed quiet for a second, thinking. Then he asked the toad, "You said she won't die for a thousand years with the curse, right?"

The toad replied, "Well, you see, Boss, curses are different. It depends on the way you're living. To be honest, the cursed Lich Xaren would've taken at least 100 years to die, but he almost died in a few weeks because he probably involved himself with stronger people around him, and the curse just changed his fated path a little."

Eryndor asked, "You mean to say if she gets involved with stronger enemies, then there's a chance she could die?"

The toad said, "Well, yes... you could say that."

Eryndor told the fairy, "Fairy, remove the curse. It's better to not track her than put her in danger, after all, she has helped Krog."

The fairy moved through the wall and with her little palm facing towards the Demoness, she cast a golden energy on her. The toad's black breath that was attached to the Demoness began to dissipate, and a few moments later, it completely dissipated.

The toad said, "She has completely removed the curse." He felt his curse completely leave the Demoness.

The fairy returned and said, "It's done."

Eryndor requested, "Can you bring back the screen? I... I want to see her one time."

The fairy rebuked, "Ah! To be in love, really makes one stupid."

Eryndor smiled, "Hehe" as he bit his tongue.

The fairy swiped her hand, and a magic screen materialized on the wall, showing the Demoness reading a book. Eryndor said, "Such a beautiful face. I hope she gives me a chance."

The fairy said, "Enough!" and the screen disintegrated once again. A little upset, Eryndor laid back on the bed.

There was a knock on the door. "Who is it?" Eryndor asked.

"Master, it's me, I brought you breakfast," said the Lich.

Eryndor thought, "It wasn't Krog who brought his breakfast today."

He ordered, "Keep it on the table."

The Lich replied, "Yes, master."

Eryndor hurried with his breakfast, knowing it was time for Krog's healing. As he finished eating, he rushed towards Krog's room. Elara was already sitting and healing Krog.

Today, Eryndor had a proposal for Elara. He wanted to discuss something with her. After Elara finished her healing, Eryndor walked her out of the motel.

While they were out, Eryndor said, "Miss Elara, I've decided to go on an adventure, and I'm currently in the process of making my party. I'd like to invite you to join my party. As you know, our adventures will be filled with dangers, and if you are with us, it'll be very helpful to us."

The toad and fairy, who were currently watching this, had their jaw-dropped. He wants a Demoness, one of the top beings, to join his party of scoundrels.

Elara replied, "Ah, let me think about it."

Eryndor's face lit up with excitement as he grasped Elara's hands tightly. "You must join our party, you're invaluable to us."

Elara felt a surge of surprise at Eryndor's sudden gesture, but she tried to maintain her composure. "Alright, I'll think about it seriously."

Eryndor, still holding her hands, looked at her with a hopeful expression. Elara, however, was trying to subtly hint that he should let go of her hands, but she just couldn't bring herself to say it. This was the first time she felt helpless as a Demoness.

Eryndor, finally noticing Elara's discomfort, apologized and let go of her hands. "Oh, I'm so sorry, I forgot about it."

As Elara left, Eryndor couldn't help but smell his hands, still feeling the touch of Elara's skin. "Beautiful, such a lovely smell," he said to himself.

The fairy, who was watching from the side, looked at Eryndor with a mixture of disgust and amusement. "Yuck, that's disgusting," she said, shaking her head.

Eryndor, still grinning to himself, didn't notice the fairy's reaction. He was too busy thinking about Elara and the possibility of her joining his party.
