Christian carried me inside the glass shower and turned the water on. The cold water helped cool me down even further, but I still clung to Christian like my life depended on it.
I knew that he must have been very cold standing under the freezing water with me, but god did it feel heavenly.
We stood under the cold water for a few minutes. The heat finally subsided enough for me to regain some of my rationality.
I looked up, meeting Christian's eyes. I suddenly felt shy, realizing that I was standing fully naked in front of him.
Tears began to form in my eyes as I looked up at the man whom I've missed so much.
"Christian. I've been so stupid. I'm so sorry," I said. There was so much I was blind to, so much I should have trusted back when he was trying to explain things to me.
I looked into his eyes. There was a gentle smile on his lips as he looked back down at me. There was no anger or disappointment like I had expected to see.
