Chapter 393 - Purpose of his being.

For a moment, silence settled between them… of course it did, because it made no fucking sense. No, it was more of a suicide plan than what Madur himself had just said to William leaving people alone in the countryside, letting them die, and only helping those in the cities.

But what William had just said went even beyond that. Just thinking about it… about killing James Bellini, the man around whom everything they had built revolved, the one who connected all the pieces together, the one who kept the balance intact even if that balance was built on blood, lies, and corruption.

And that was exactly why Madur couldn't take it seriously at first. It felt too extreme, too reckless, like something no rational person would ever actually follow through on.

"Whoa, what a grand plan. Do you think he is stupid?"
