Hector hit the ground hard and fast. His legs buckled the moment the bullet hit his back and he felt every bit of pain surge through his body, the pain that came from being shot from up close. He couldn't even breathe, but he tried, he wanted to live, he wanted to fight for it, but his body was not allowing him, as he suffocated by the sheer force… but was able to turn around his body to face whoever shot him.
"Bulletproof vest… how smart you are." The man said as he watched him suffer and fight for his breath… and he was smiling with satisfaction to see how Hector was on the verge of death, to see in his eyes the panic on his face and those eyes.
Even though he was suffering, had that thing in him… that killing intent, that intent to do something, to try something.
