The silence between them was big, too big with too many thoughts with too many things in their minds.
No one said anything. Benjamin wanted to push the plan, the deal, too much while not even really thinking about what James was currently going through, not even thinking about the family that he just joined.
While on the other side, James was exactly thinking about all of the things, how to make a move, a great move, that will connect them not just to power but truly make the family an exceptional one, one that is not backstabbing, one that holds their loyalty, their respect, and faith toward James to nothing.
"I need time." Suddenly James spoke. "At least a week or two, without any bullshit happening."
"I get it, and we need time too." Benjamin said. "We're all over the place at the government, especially William's fucking plan to fire people on corruption charges." He said as he sighed because it was just more fucking weight on him, on the agencies.
